Thanks,
MSFS Team

The light switches which were operable in 2020 (Strobe\Landing...) are now inop in 2024.
Besides the G3X Touch also has the extreme bloom that appears on the SAAB 340.
Hope these get fixed soon. And wish the circuit breakers be made functional. The XCub is great in 2024, wish we get the same for the NXCub.

The light switches are unclickable and no tooltips show.

The in game ATC is inaccessible because the sim thinks the avionics are turned off.

What Byskorve said, is exactly what I experienced today in the NX Cub:
Several of the electrical switches, that were fully functional in FS2020, are inoperable in FS2024. The sim engine refuses to allow me to contact ATC because it thinks the electrical system is turned off. This is obviously a bug in one or more of the config files for this plane. I can’t believe that Asobo let this very popular GA plane “out the door” with these flaws. It’s incredibly fun to fly in FS2020 - it has excellent fuel economy, and with the Garmin glass cockpit and full-function autopilot, you can shoot ILS approaches in it.
Another major irritant, you won’t notice until after sunset: there’s no way to dim that Garmin MFD for night-flying, so that by the time full darkness arrives, it’s literally blindingly bright. I spent nearly an hour trying to find a control to tone down the light output from that MFD and didn’t find one. Such a shame, because I love the NX Cub, but it’s unflyable at night until Asobo fixes these bugs.

Seems to be a short in the glareshield lighting.

Flies real nice, but like all taildraggers, you can’t complete a walkaround because you can’t lift the elevator, only lower it.

I don’t know if anyone has the same problem, but I can’t release the parking brake on this plane. Either by starting cold and dark, or from the runway. The wheels are blocked.

Also the view is not centered in VR, same as 2020. Not sure why it is so hard to get accurate default view point out of the box…

PSA, the Got Friends MonsterNX Cub addon appears to be working beautifully for me and is free. Just have to go through the checkout process to get a download link and plop into your MSFs2024 community folder:

For those looking for that nose wheel fix

I don’t know if this is a general issue with the NX Cub or one just related to my set-up.

I am unable to switch the Comm and Nav radio frequencies from standby to active and vice versa in the Garmin G3X system.

However, it works perfectly in the basic X Cub.

Anyone else notice this?

I always liked the NX Cub in FS2020, too. You’ll notice perhaps another glitch that I noticed with the G3X radio frequencies set-up covered in my other post above.
I haven’t explored it much, yet, but it looks like I’ll be switching over to the basic X-Cub until they’ve worked through some of the NX-Cub glitches.

Hmm…
Perhaps you meant to post this for the X-Cub - the tail dragger?

Besides all the buttons not working the VR collision mesh is on the floorboard instead of the instrument cluster.

I also noticed the propeller shadow did not match the RPM. I could see the blades in the shadow while the engine was running.

I haven’t checked your specific issues, yet, but have you tried the free Got Friends Monster version of the NX Cub, yet?
I noticed that theirs does not seem to have the same G3X bug (inability to transfer radio frequencies from standby to active) that I have noted in the default NX Cub.

yes did you find a fix?

i wanted to rate this because
xcubs in general are my thing and the nxcub is important to me

but that first question seems to combine things just wrong for me,
so i had to skip that first one

the Flight Model and Aircraft Systems
one is Good the other is Very Bad (obviously i Cant say the systems are good when half of the primary switches Dont Work at all) and they are not really connected in any reasonable manner, the aircraft can fly good without Any systems

those 2 need to be separated if you want any usefull data from this imo
(the best and worst combined will even itself out to = Zero)

Actually, no. BUT, I have found that the G3X radios in the Gotfriends Monster NXCub work properly.
Yaaay…
It will probably be awhile before the Asobo developers get around to fixing them in the default NXCub version.
I’ve heard that they have higher priority bugs to sort out first.

“I’ve heard that they have higher priority bugs to sort out first.” Lol thats about a understatement monster cub is fun but like the nx better

I, also can’t release the parking brake on this plane?! As this is an official module can anybody shed some light on this please?

Well, 3-months later… no!
I also tried installing a purported X and NX Cub bug fix from Flightsim.to that had no effect on this issue.
:grimacing:

Still no fixes for this. Should be pretty easy to add some light switches to a cockpit? Too bad.
