That would be an accumulation of “dirt and grime” on your windshield. It is not a problem.
Interesting effects at FL290.
With a jetstream operating at 70 knots tailwind, the pushover from climb to cruise while under AT sent me plus 20+ over barberpole. Disconnect AT, pull back power to recover around 170 indicated, reset AT. Haven’t seen that happen with other AT equipped planes. Always something new.
I find the cockpit window glass in the PC-12 very dark. When I switch to the external view, everything looks much brighter and friendlier. Is that accurate?
I wish there was a basic slider in the MSFS settings to adjust the transparency of the cockpit windows. It would give more control over how the cockpit looks and feels.
Can someone give me some help on flying an ils or vnav?
First I dont know what is the pupose of the discontinued section in the flight plan. Do i delete this before take off or later in flight?
So if my cruising alt is fl21 and in planed an ils that i have to enter at 3000f. How do i plan my decent to 3000f so i can seamless enter my ils patern. I now plan a vnav but i never enter the ils section on proper altitude.
How to fligh a vnav in the mountains? When planning it wont take the mountains top in consideration. And is there a way to check the exact hight of the top?
Windows of the pc24 and pc12 are tinted. Verry anoying in dark conditions
it’s a Carenado thing. all their planes have tinted windows, weirdly.
SimBrief will most definitely take the mountain top into consideration, which is why I always use it and never use the MIcrosoft flight planner.
You can delete the Discontinuity at any time, but you should verify that the two legs you’re connecting have sufficient altitude clearance over obstacles.
You have to put the lowest altitude clearance, usually the FAF, in your altitude preslector on the PFD. With an Approach selected in the STAR/Landing tab, inserted and activated in your plan, you should get a Top of Descent ToD line in your plan where the plane should begin an automatic descent. Just arm VNAV by pressing VNAV to get the plane ready.
Thanks for the tip.
I always select the runway elevation on the pdf. Planning the vnav gives me a tod but do i automatically enter the ils approach on the specific altitude to arm the glideslope this way? (I Just read what a FAF is🙈) so better to add faf height instead of runway height?
And when arming the approach is sometimes get the message GS but sometimes also other messages (cant recal the right now)
For an ils the only right indication is GS right?
Never used simbrief. Can i use it when flying careermode missions?
I fly in vr and sometimes at night i have to stick out my head outside the cockpit to see clearly. Big disadvantage in my opinion
Has anyone figured out why the lower MFD keeps switching off if you fly for 4.5 to 5.5 hours?
I installed the mod to coop with this error. In su2 its still there i gues. Also the landing gear forget message in career vip missions. This is not pressent in career medevac missions strangely.
Also the cabin pressure warming (manuals dump to fix) is only pressent in career vip.
I just bought a Pilatus-12 NGX. When I go into Career mode the planes is not able to be flown neither small cargo and there are no medium cargo items,
What’s up? Is this standard now. Should I sell it? Or just admire it?
They do work in medium cargo. One of the best planes for it. When you bought it did you pick a cargo plane or vip one? Something is wrong elsewhere.
yes, provided both the departure and destination airfields don’t have made up ICAO codes (another of MSFS 2024’s wonderful “features”)
I have yet to come across completely fictional ICAO codes - but I have found plenty that are closed and not included in the SimBrief database for that reason.
Buy a vip company and fly the TBM. Only 1,800,000. Most missions are N. eastern US and Europe. Not anywhere else. Leave 172 on passive once you can afford the TBM. You’ll get to your pc12 target much quicker. Or the G58 at 1,150,000, but it earns less. The DA62 earns more than both but is more to buy.
Wouid littlenavmap works also?
There are many.
