ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: MSFS2024 sometimes freezes during flight, but the sound remains. MSFS2024 does not crash to the desktop, only the image freezes, but the sound remains.

I have to close the game manually through the task manager.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

This happens every 2nd flight, it happens every flight.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

This happens at any stage of the flight, even during climb at cruising altitude. It can happen at any time. I don’t do anything special; the plane can be flying on autopilot, and the MSFS can freeze, but the sound remains.

It happened again, but now in the parking lot, the sound continues, but the simulator is not active.

Why is no one paying attention to this issue? It also exists in MFS20, and since SU16, I have frequently appeared

I’ve been trying to find an answer to this for two weeks now. @wwcx0927 and @AntonKuf were you guys able to find a solution to your sim freezing?

I’m having a similar issue where every time I select an approach procedure, it triggers a freeze (no CTD) and I only hear the sound. I don’t know why but selecting the approach on my default Asobo CJ4 seems to be causing the issue. I would be flying for like 1.5 hours + and go to select the approach procedure and boom = freeze.

The problem went away on its own for me—possibly after a graphics card driver update or an MSFS 2024 update.
