MSFS2024 - Track IR keeps loosing connection with MSFS2024

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Track IR looses connection within MSFS2024. TrackIR itself is still tracking. I tried to turn off/on Track IR in MSFS2024, tried ALT 7 and ALT 8 in order to reset. All not working. Once it is gone it is gone and you have to restart the Sim to enable it back on. BTW had this in MSFS2020 as well, but not that often.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every second flight or so. Quiet frequently.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start Track IR before MSFS2024
  2. Fly
    3.Turn off Track IR with F9
  3. or go out of sight with Track IR, or do quick movements.

Did you try a high-power USB connection (check your motherboard manual) or a powered hub?
Issues like this are often caused by power.

I agree probably a power issue ! I have two powered hubs due to the number of USD devices I use

HI,

this is actually a very good idea. In fact I do not have it on a high-power connection. Never would have thought about that.
Thx for the Tip, will give it a shot.

Unfortunately that did not resolve the problem. But this time I played around with mouse for turning my view while track ir was enabled maybe this got it confused. After that it did not track anymore within MSFS2024. It would be nice if the reset track ir function would actually work in FS2024, but it seems it does not.
