Msfs24 On Xbox After SU3

The game is unplayable still almost a year after release. Third person is laggy and makes it way harder to fly. First person lags and freezes when you switch to it. The map does not load until you are pretty much on top of it even with great internet connection. Also career mode likes to crash and freeze a lot. The UI is buggy and laggy. When you start a flight it looks horrible for at least 10 minutes while you wait for everything to load. This game should not have released on xbox and it is not optimized at all. Wish I could refund it but I waited and trusted it would get better but the lag has only gotten worse and now it’s way past the 14 day mark

Obviously something has happened with this game and it just keeps getting worse and worse

Oh and while creating this, the plane shut off all screens and electronics even with every thing set to on. It then went back on for a minute then back to being off. Also another bug will happen with the a320neo where autopilot will override all set commands and start climbing extremely fast even when the plane isn’t overspeed. Once it starts doing that, there is literally no fixing the plane and you have to restart the flight. These two glitches aren’t rare they happen everytime I fly making me stick to small planes and career

Hello,

Most of the issues you’ve mentioned are (unfortunately) well-known by the community, and most of them have already been reported on the appropriate forums here. The developers are working on improving performance on Xbox, there might be some fix in Sim Update 3 as well, but it’s currently unknown whether a real breakthrough in responsiveness, load times and performance can be achieved on consoles. We just have to wait and see.

The screens going black is because the simulator runs out of memory (the Xbox consoles have very little memory to use), and to prevent a crash, it rather turns off all the screens. Sadly, it makes flying impossible in most modern aircraft.

Currently your best bet with MSFS 2024 is to stick with small aircraft and small airports, because the simulator behaves much better that way. Airliners are not really feasible on Xbox.

I also recommend trying out MSFS 2020 on Xbox in the meantime, especially if you have a Game Pass membership, because it looks and runs much better.
