What is the purpose of this exe? I find it in some liveries folder. If someone can explain me?

If in the aircraft livery folder is file named MSFSLayoutGenerator.exe it means that the livery creator forgot to delete this file.

In MSFS2024, the specifications have been changed so that if the file size listed in the layout.json file does not match the actual size, there will be problems loading aircraft data.
If you install an MSFS2020 livery into MSFS2024 and the aircraft model is not displayed, try drag and drop the layout.json file into the generator.exe; this may resolve the issue.

I use it every time I add liveries downloaded from flightsim.to for Fenix. It does update entries in layout.json. I had a few cases when added livery was not available in FS2024. After updating layout.json the livery appeared in the menu.

Of course you can update layout.json manually in a text editor but it’s a lot quicker with MSFSLayoutGenerator.

why my antivirus says this is a virus ?? And Virustotall detect it to !

This has fixed about 20+ fbw a320nx liveries that would hang or wouldn’t show in 2024. Keep this handy. Just wish it would put all the liveries under the same plane.

It’s developer’s job to make their plane and liveries fully compatible with FS2024. If it’s 2020 plane then the liveries are all over the place in FS2024.
