Multi Crew Experience trial expired even though I've never used it

I have the demo version of MCE but every time I run it I am told my 3 day trial has expired despite never having run it before. I have tried installing onto two PCs with the same result.
Support tell me I should wait until I am ready to format my C: drive. What???
Has anyone had this problem and solved it as MCE looks like a decent addon but I am blowed if I am spending £65.00 until I know if it works OK with my system. TIA

Funnily enough I had the exact same issues in the FSX demo with that ute, after it being recommended by fellow AH testers.

After a number of wise-cracking, unhelpful emails from the dev and some rather insulting “advice” I decided never to touch their products. I really wasn’t impressed with how they went about things anyway. IIRC, if you didn’t own the aircraft they covered you were stuffed, though there may have been a generic approach requiring editing configs etc - was about 10 or more years ago.

Thanks Johnny. This what I got in an email from Support.
“t seems you already made up your mind, thertefore, no pint elaborating further.
Your money, your choice.
Our product, our choice.”
So the wisecracking emails continues. That is just about the worst reply one could get from any Support if you want to call it that. Cheers.

I just tried to install MCE on a laptop I have not used for months.
Having gone through the setup wizard successfully I was still told my trial was over.
Any ideas?

I have just discovered that the MCE demo is tied to the PC hardware. As I use a dual boot system with FS2020 on a separate OS that is why the demo fails. This may help others.
