• issue is parent on Xbox series x as well

I tried this twice and both times after I land it fails because it says the engines restarted. Frustrating!

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Before starting, I removed the connector for the two throttles and ensured the left one was at idle, only using the right one throughout the check ride. Failed three times in a row…

I did it successfuly some days ago, before I restarted my career, but don’t recall if that was before the latest fix or not.

From Google searching:

It might be a problem with Thrustmaster TCA sticks. That is what I use.

I changed to my old Logitech X56 pair, split the two throttles, left down to 0 and completed the certification.

I am using the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro with a single throttle controller and it keeps failing me. I even unmap the throttle so that i dont change the position of the throttle on the „out“ engine. Keep failing, its blocking my progression in career mode so thats a bummer.

Same problem using Honeycomb bravo throttle. Left engine was off throughout flight and only used right engine, yet mission failed. Then I disconnected Bravo and tried with only an Xbox controller and had same issue. Extremely frustrating.

Yes

Currently having same issue. Think I’ll completely cut the left engine next time I try and see what happens

Having this issue too. I’ve noticed that even without any input, the throttle increases and the engine ignition button toggles back on. I’m using a simple Logitech Extremen 3DPRO joystick. I thought if I manually shutdown the engine it would work but no luck.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Using Winwing Orion 2 with F-15ex Throttle. Mapped Engine ignition switch off to cutoff engine when appropriate. i throttle back left engine and cutoff ignition to not accidently restart it and I still fail mission. Engine auto start is not mapped.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I throttled back and turned off the left engine ignition when the instructor began speaking about how a pilot has to be able to land in emergency situations and that did the trick.

Thank you for the bug report.

same here, tried everything but no joy

Thanks for the solution, I unplugged the TCA throttle like you mentioned and used only the stick.
I could see the engine windmilling…. And it worked. Their several bugs on this flight sim. That’s not the first one I see….as an example I selected a mission parachuting mission in Europe and on loading the mission, the plane fell of a small cliff and crash and system error message appear …. And the sim exited to desktop but on reload, I suffered the crash on my rating score and lost reputation score…very frustrating indeed.

I had the same problem. The left engine always started when reaching the final. I use Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.
Yesterday I noticed that joystick button 6 is programmed to automatically start the engine. And I had programmed the landing gear down to the same button. That was the reason why the engines always started when I put the landing gears down.
I removed the automatic engine start from joystick button 6, and I was able to pass the test.

You’re supposed to restart the engine? The instructor never tells me that so I didn’t, I just landed with the 1 engine and I passed.

same problem here

workd for me
