ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:When flying in multiplayer, the other aircraft you see flying just pops out and dissapears from short distance.

1.start a multiplayer flight
2.look at other aircraft from the ground
3.see them dissapear and pop out just from short distance away.

• yes, just load into an airport and taxi around

Do you mean that when you get very close to another player’s aircraft it disappears? If so there is a setting in the game that makes this happen. It can be turned on or off.

100% Exact same issue!
Make sure in settings under Online you have all of that checked.
Sadly that doesn’t help, random multiplayer aircraft of friends that I’m talking to on Teamspeak3 just randomly Vanish! FYI we all have 1GB fiber connections!

No, i mean when the other airplanes fly away from you they suddenly dissapear just a short distance away from you. The Drawdistance or LOD is way to agressive on some aircraft. The only aircraft i found so far that dont dissapear is the Draco X and the H125.

Its sad to see its only have 6 votes. its strange other people arent frustraded about this.

The multiplayer have alot of broken things

-Low Drawdistance LOD
-No animations on propellers or rotors
-Some times i cant see multiplayer planes at all
-Missing sounds on some aircraft you see in multiplayer
-Wrong modelmatching (Example you see the people flying in hot air balloons as default bonanzas floating in the air)

It’s kind of sad because I’m not that far away, and I can’t see other planes, and just really close to them, I can see it.

I experienced all of these same issues.

-Low Draw Distance/Heavy “fake fog”.
-No Animations on props/rotors
-Missing Sounds
-Wrong Model Matching

Relevant information:
I was using a Chinook, premium deluxe aircraft. You can clearly tell that I am not a Chinook from my friends perspective. It was quite hilarious, but let’s please fix this problem.

My friend was on gamepass base game. This may have contributed to the problem but it sounds like others are experiencing the same thing.

I’d also like this fixed, especially the draw distance. I do a ton of group flights, streamed and otherwise, and it used to be a fun social experience. Now I can take off or land at major airports and sometimes never even see a real player’s plane because of the wonky settings and the draw distance.

And really, whether I’m looking at AI Static planes or Multiplayer aircraft, if I’m in the pattern, I should still see the planes parked on the “tarmac”. They’re gone when I’m less than a mile away.

This is my number #1 issue with 2024. Draw distance for other aircraft is inferior to what it was in 2020. Completley unacceptable for a sim which is supposed to be better than its predecessor. I fly vatsim almost all the time and I almost never see any other aircraft because they disappear so quickly (like 3 nm distance). Everyone once in a awhile I will see a plane like 10 miles away, at least the lights and contrails, and think maybe its fixed! But no. Its just some weird fluke that occasionally I see them. At least let us see lights and contrails!
