Multiplayer flight on PC with someone on XBOX?

Hi Folks,

How would I go about setting up a multiplayer flight on my PC installation of MSFS 2020 with a friend using MSFS 2020 on their XBOX? I have his XBOX login name, and when I click on Add Friend, enter his login name and then click on Send it tells me “Invitation Failed”. I gave him my XBOX login name I’m using on my PC to send me an Invitation, but that didn’t work either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

Do either of you (mainly the XBOX user) have security / permissions set that do not allow multi / cross platform playing?

I know this was an issue on my kids Series X with Fortnite, etc… and I had to turn it on so they could add / play with people on PC, etc…

Thanks so much for your reply. I appreciate it. He was finally able to send me a Friend Request which I accepted and we managed to meet up online. Thanks again for your help.
