Doing another group flight tonight, and guess what? Same issue. It seems like this is now a constant issue.

I use the USA East server and constantly have most players dropping in and out. And at times will go extended periods of time before all the players in the area are properly displayed. Will they ever fix this issue?

Guess what, itâs doing it again. This time I thought Iâd post proof. First screenshot is the livestream Iâm watching, 2nd screenshot is my sim. EDIT: Weâre all on the Southeast Asia server, not that it matters, because trying different servers gives me the same issue.

I have the same issue on all servers as well. It is getting beyond frustrating.
There are times is will work fine hours on end and some days just constantly dropping out for
periods of time.

Doing another group tonight and 3 of are having the same issue again. There are about 20 of us in total but only us 3 can see each other and no one else. But the other 17 people can see the 3 of us. Absolutely infuriating and not good enough that Asobo are continuing to ignore this.
Iâve also seen it happening the MSFS Official fly ins, and Iâve noticed that they never comment on it even though itâs blatantly obvious. In fact they will turn the camera away from it.

So I didnât think it could get worse than it already does, but yes, if Asobo/Microsoft does it very well⊠
But whatâs going on right now with your servers? itâs worse tham last weeks!!!
As musefan12345 said, the group theft with the ShadowDisplays was horrible (I quit before the end) between people disappearing, planes jumping back and forth, scenery LOD loading and unloading, as we move forward⊠Really, really painful
So on my side, for a few weeks I no longer see people appearing on the world map, none of my +/- 50 friends, no one appears on the world map when they are connected 
So yes, I have a person who appears on the map, but this person does not play MSFS 
Heâs a friend I have in my contacts from the Xbox Companion app.
So how does he, who is not playing MSFS, show up on my world map, but my friends, who are online and playing the Sim, I donât see them⊠
Seriously, when is someone going to take responsibility and tell us something!! are you afraid of us??
I spend a little time on this Forum, and I see on certain subjects the moderators of the forum answer quite quickly and provide answers on many subjects (and that, and very well) But, I, (we) donât understand why here, no answers 
Watching the Official MSFS Streams, when this phenomenon occurs, yes we change the camera, we laugh, and we move on⊠

We volunteer moderators do not work for Asobo/MS. We are not paid for this job.
The reason we volunteer is to help fellow MSFS users, as we volunteers use the sim ourselves.
Our main task is to moderate the forums. The helping part we do as an extra service, again, when we can.
From dealing with the forum on a daily basis, we have gained some knowledge on how the sim works, and therefore how to deal with some of its âquirksâ.
Thus on those subjects, when we have time and can help, we quite often will.
We do this because we want you folks to enjoy the sim.
We do not have any inside info from Asobo into the inner workings of the sim, nor are we trained as troubleshooters.
We are not privy as to why certain issues happen, nor are we privy to what MS/Asobo is doing to rectify these issues.
So on those topics, we canât answer them, because we know no more than any other forum user.
We do have very regular contact with the Forum Community Managers, who are actual employees.
When we see certain issues becoming prevalent, we do bring it to the attention of these CMâs.
Almost always, these folks have already seen the issues as well, (you may have noticed their increased presence in the forums lately) and have passed the info on to those that can do something about it.
At that point, we all just have to wait untill we hear back from the powers that be.
So I hope this explains some of your question, however, at this point, this is getting way off topic of the disappearing players.
Please folks, letâs get this topic back on track!

Afterwards understand that I have no hatred towards you (the Forum Moderators or the Community Managers) you are doing a good job, but it is above all this silence that is frustrating, as I have told you for more than a year without saying what whateverâŠ
So I donât mind, (stay on thread) but after doing hundreds of describing the problem, giving details, creating support tickets, 486 votes, what more can we say??!!! towards, who to turn to??!!!
Anyway, thank you very much for taking the time to give us some answers.

A âhere tooâ update. The last few weeks have been terrible. Joining a single friend (who needed cheering up) I see on the world map: nope, nowhere in the game to see, but I do see others.
Joining multiple friends: some show up, most do not - anymore; this wasnât a big issue before, but lately it has become a bigger issue. It is less fun not seeing each other anymore, even though they are online in the Friends List.

also noticed recently been quite bad. Just been trying to see two friends who could see me but I couldnât see them even though I could see other MP in my sim. Tried changing server and coming back again, going offline and coming back again, restarting the flightâŠcouldnât seem to find a way to fix it.
I run group flights on my Discord server and it is getting to be a bit of a frustration not knowing if we are going to be able to see each other or not. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

Since my last post 8 days ago, Iâve experienced that same issue on 2 different nights. I didnât bother reporting it here as itâs not going to get the problem fixed, but Iâm reporting just to clarify that it still hasnât been addressed

Itâs very odd. Flying with a group of friends around who can all see me and each other but I canât see any of them. Last night it actually seemed to work after I had cycled all the online features to off and then back on again before starting the flight but today got exact same problem. Plenty of MP aircraft in the distance but the airport I am at is empty whereas for my friends it is busy, and as I said they can even see me!! Baffled by this. Tried so many things.
Additional: Just did some experimenting with friends and if we switched to non EU servers then I could finally see them. Switching back to EU servers they could still see me but I was back to not seeing them again.

It happened again last night on TwoToneMurphyâs stream, so there is visual evidence if needed. It was toward the end of the stream. It didnât happen to me this time. It happened to Murph and 2 or 3 others. We all disappeared for them, and the few of them could all see each other.

Definitely not server or multiplayer client related as it happens on the MSFS server, the Vatsim server and the IVAO server to name a few.
Big problem this I stream and do group flights half the time you cant see the others flying tend to have more look when using a USA server instead of Europe.
Sometimes I start up the game to join streamers or other group flights to fly along with other people. Recently I donât even bother to try anymore. Did a last try tonight to see if it was fixed, but noâŠ
This has to be addressed quickly. For a lot of people the multiplayer part of this sim is what makes it so good.
Please Asobo, we need to hear from you about the issue. Easy fix or is it a big thing?

A week away from the sim, as I was busy with real life stuff. Back in today for a group flight, and whatâs the first thing that happens? Yes, everyone just vanished. I hate to say it, but Asobo have absolutely no intentions of fixing this thing.

Iâve unfortunately also got this issue happening again starting about a month ago. While a busy month, the few times i kept trying to fly with friends left me flying alone watching my friends through Volanta.
I know Asobo is aware of the problem but cannot find the origin of the problem since it cannot be reproduced reliably. I agree and understand everyoneâs frustrations and im sharing it with everyone, but screaming for Asobo to say something when they themselves are still trying to figure it out is not very productive. Its been mentioned in past Q&As so they have heard the community.
The Q&A from May 3rd 2023 gave us some clues as to their theories behind this:
- Could be related to the handling of certain HTTP requests
- Telemetry event that could possibly interfere with the multiplayer
- Could be related to CDN providers putting their own limitations on bandwidth
Reminder that these are hypotheses iterated in the Q&A and not a diagnosis of the problem.
If you guys have some idea based on these elements, feel free to share so we can work together to fix this problem
Note: After doing all of the zendesk articles for fixing multiplayer issues, something somewhere unlocked itself, either when i was toggling things many time between restarts, or one of the processes from zendesk, I was able to regain my multiplayer entirely, in a stable position.

Imagine, 2 years later and they still donât know why itâs happening. Thatâs appalling for a multiplayer friendly game.
