That is a good tip…i had to fix it because it was not connected…
But it does not seem to keep this settings when i reboot ?
Thanks
Did you get it working somehow ?
And did it worked ?
Nop…still does not work for me
The troubleshooting tips don’t work for me. I’ve done just about everything possible short of reformatting windows. Sign out of game and xbox app, reinstall game, reinstall xbox app, wsreset, disable firewall, disable defender, manually kill every single task and service not essential.
This is beyond frustrating.
it might be a firewall issue. I’ve never had to forward a port to play any multiplayer game unless it was a direct peer to peer connection
no
maybe this can help …
It works with all players but not the group setting…
no nothing i am always alone in the sky
yes here also
now
my guess is that the group thing is server related… so i hope we wil get some information about this.
This is indeed a frustrating issue.
If the xbox app network status shows connected or up for all settings and NAT type says open, then you are mostly there.
I additionally had to turn on windows firewall, as I normally only use my router firewall.
Check these ports on your router, but don’t trust me, go look at xbox games for windows, or windows store games and you will see these ports listed:
XBLive
- Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
- Port 80 (TCP)
- Port 88 (UDP)
- Port 500 (UDP)
- Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
- Port 3544 (UDP)
- Port 4500 (UDP)
PLUS add the port for teredo, although normally that changes from reboot to reboot, but not always.
Let me know if this helped you at all.
I should mention, when connecting to another players group, that from time to time they disappear, just to come back 30 seconds later.
I have not found the cause of this occurring yet.
One reason this could be is because Teredo can change the port it is working on after a reboot.
Thats not the only reason, but it was my reason for this happening…
I never had to open ports 30000 to 31000 to get multiplayer to work, only the ones I posted above.
That is interesting, and will keep that in mind.
Thanks…
Turn on firewall or turn off ?
Turn on actually.
I read somewhere that some services work better for the xbox app when everything is at the default settings for windows.
This was several years ago for “Sea of Theives” mulitplayer troubleshooting that I was doing, so that could have changed actually.
But cant hurt to try if everything else does not work. Can always turn it off later again.
Thanks…
I will try…
Would be nice if microsoft would publish a document on how to make this work…
Multiplayers ‘All players’ seems to work fine but group is a nightmare…
