Multiplayer Question..Is it possible that you can just watch others fly around and not participate?

Hi there, Is it possible that you can watch others fly around and not participate? Any information is greatly appreciated. TIA

I think the closest thing you can do to this is just stay at one airport and watch incoming and outgoing players and AI. If you’re looking for a way to attach your camera to another player to follow them, unfortunately that’s not yet possible.

Earlier this week i was flying near Uluru Australia, i parked the plane at the airport nearby
Took the drone cam and steered it in the airplane of someone else online deselect the lock and follow mode also set my sliders at 100%
Activated my ir tracking and waited for the other plane started to taxi with the xbox controller in hand.
Then when the other person to decided to went for a spin i followed his plane in this drone mode
I was able to follow the whole flight outside view of the plane close by manouvering and from distance enjoying the persons flying skills and tour he gave me probably without knowing i was enjoying the flight while my c172 was standing on parking at the airport

So i would say yes it is possible to watch others but in a way you participate in the sim.

In FSX and prior, you could change the view and select from a list of all the other planes in the sim and choose one for the camera to watch. Does this functionality still exist?

I’m imagining there might be a menu to choose the drone target view (I’m not at my computer at the moment).
