Multiple logitech FIPs

When I switch on my PC, not all fips power up, thru need to be switched on manually one by one.

any ideas?

Sorry I just cannot see any logic in a new purchase of a FIP with what’s available today. They are quite outdated now. If you already have them then ok but they are not at all good value. In fact terrible value. They are also not very versatile. You can certainly get more than five displays going if you want. Whatever you tried was obviously not quite right. You should really have persevered with a solution for the multi display solution with AM for the instruments and used the money saved on not buying FIP’s to upgrade flight controls IMHO.

Sure, each to their own always. Just giving some feedback. I have he opinion that the FIP’s are so expensive for what they offer. A tiny screen and some physical controls. Value can be had and with much better versatility than that in 2024 is all the point I was really making.

But I love them as they give me that GA aircraft feel, and maybe a little expensive but I suppose it’s all subjective

Not all GA aircraft have the older steam gauges but if that’s your thing here’s a selection of mine at a fraction of the cost and still having the versatility to have big glass display cockpits on there too. Uses touch screen monitors and Air Manager panels. Perhaps these better explain why I believe thd FIPs are now outdated.

Nice setup! I just added 6 FIPs and I’m going through the same - have to unplug / replug some of them after startup. I’ve tried them on different USB hubs, and you can always get one on each hub to come up clean every restart - but after that it is a crapshoot. Windows just can start multiple of them on the same hub consistently. I also have a RealSimGear GNS530 that has the same problem because I have it running as a HDMI-to-USB monitor and it has a USB connector. Seems like Windows has some problems with multiple of the same types of USB device trying to start at the same time. Unplug and replug them and everything is fine.

This problem seems to have been around as long as the FIPs have existed and seems to be one of the few that the community hasn’t figured out a solid fix for yet.

A USB hub that’s controlled by switches could probably be adapted to do a structured power on if you wanted to automate it a bit.

Already tried that with a couple, the problem is that with 6 FIPs you’d need 6 different hubs and 6 different ports to connect it to. I saw in another post that somebody was onto something about each of the FIPs having the same ID, therefore Windows can’t start them all at once. He had a BAT or power shell script to try and restart them. Might try that.

That’s not what I was thinking. I meant a single hub and modifying the individual port switches to switch them on in a sequence. If you or someone you know have the skills for that.
