Multiscreen - Multi Window Independent Window Zoom Factors

Is the extra window created in the Developer options tab, only available to show the cockpit? I’m not able to change the view. I also can’t record the main screen in OBS when the extra window has been created. Am I doing something wrong?

Extra windows for multiscreens you can create in general option > experimental section
With the slider once created a window you can modify view for that window also you can select
Windowed mode + resolution or Fullscreen mode + resolution

Yeah. But I can’t change the view. I figured that was correct. Bummer.

Hi @GlobalFlier2021

Can you explain in a bit more detail, what you exactly try to do and how you intend to use
For this part is not that clear to me

Sure. I do Flight Requests that are given by my Patrons and viewers on YouTube. They can request what views they want to see. Often, they want to see the Wing View, or Engine View. So I am trying to open a window with that view. That way I can use OBS to record the window view, while I fly using the cockpit view.

Sorry for late reply @GlobalFlier2021

It is unfortunate for you is that u can setup a custom view and set this in a separate window in multi window in experimental section but as soon as you switch to other view point multiwindows follows and show different viewpoint.
Although what you want to do is possible with a second licence of msfs 2020 there you can customize views and set up multiwindows and you can connect through the program your control
Which is to find on github, however you will need 2 pc and multi wifi or lan on the main pc
In this way you can have cockpit on main while the second pc have a setup different view point as passenger

I see. Hopefully such a basic problem will be solved with MSFS 2024

It’s great and all that new aircraft and scenery are coming, but what about addressing the issue with home cockpit setup views??? Just as X plane has a setup where you can adjust each individual window separately why is it difficult to do that in MSFS ? Makes no sense to me. It is the most unpleasant experience to setup home cockpit views in MSFS?
