While we navigate the skies, and enjoy the beauty of this simulated World, I wonder if like me and a good few others, that you listen to music as a background and what it might be? I find flight in all its forms, evocative, embracing and ultimately uplifting. Sometimes music alone can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, but even more so when you are flying.
To make it more difficult, no more than three entries please.
Yes I would have added Didoâs Lament, for sure. Heart breaking song by possibly the best English composer. Hereâs but one of many versions - more contemporary than usual.
These days I listen to Electro-Gothic, and I am revisiting Genesis (Selling England by the Pound era-not my era though, I am not that old). Editors are on my playlist too. I was planning on seeing them on March 2020, they were playing here (Athens, Greece), but then came covid.
When I fly, my musical choice moves around, but as I said in the O.P. , music can make those hairs on the back of the neck stand up. There have been many that are above that do just that, but I also love classical music and three here from that particular fork, would be pretty much anything by Vaughan Williams whose work was so quintessentially British, Bach and from slightly more recent times, Einaudi. The musical space compliments what I see from the air beautifully until I screw up my NDB approach again and discover that the runway is 10,000 feet wide and 200 feet long
