My Graphics Are Broken

G’day all, every flight I start and do, my graphics seem to be broken, they always appear to be pixelated, even up close they still look off and kinda pixelated, here are some screenshots of the issue I am having:

Hopefully someone can help me

Hi there, I think it’s a well document topic here on the forum. Just out of interest are you perhaps running reshade or have you set Nvidia control panel to control the sharpening.

Not sure what that is

I don’t have an Nvidia graphics card

Ok, AMD sharpening effect? what resolution are you running? also check your monitor settings, on some monitors there are certain modes which sharpen the image. Perhaps set monitor settings to default, all AMD card settings to default and try again. Have you made any additional changes to the CFG file?

I’ll try that first, I just turned it off

It does look a bit better after removing the sharpening, but its still a bit pixelated on ultra

Don’t mind my flying skills, I was quickly testing the change

If you have everything maxed out on Ultra, try scaling back some of the texture-related settings and see if that softens things up a bit.

Does look better  Next step would be to disable the sharpen effect in the UserCfg.opt file located in /Users/UserName/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft Flight Simulator (Steam Edition). The file can be opened using a text editor, scroll down and find the line SHARPEN 1 and change it to SHARPEN 0 (Not under VR Options, there are two SHARPEN settings, it must be the first one). Save the file, close and thereafer right click on the UserCfg.opt, click properties and make sure Read Only is selected, click OK. Next step will be to download reshade from reshade.me (reshade 4.8.2), certain reshade shaders do a much better job sharpening the image, if you’d like to continue, let me know I’ll send you my reshade config file with instructions.

@DaffodilGlue317, I’ve changed the sharpen value to 0 and it looks a bit better again
