Hi,
i am planning a flight from EGPC to EGPA and want to use the ILS 27 approach on EGPA (transition WICK).
When opening the chart of the selected approach in Navigraph i see a different pattern in white than the planner provides (in orange).
How can this be?
You’re talking about the missed approach segment with the left turn back to KWL?
The procedure isn’t bound to a specific path in the initial missed approach segment, RNAV or otherwise. It speaks to this in the missed approach description, when it says to start the turn at the later of 2000’ or a specific DME distance. This, along with your groundspeed, would cause the location of the beginning of the turn and your actual turn radius to vary. So Navigraph is just estimating a path here.
Hi,
I would ask this in our forum because this is a very specific question to a 3rd party addon which has nothing todo with the MSFS. Is only a recommendation to get a more or less professional/correct answer to such questions.
@CharlieFox00 Thanks for your answer
Cheers,

Thanks for the response!
Should this airport thus be flown in always first over the VOR (as the STAR map seems to indicate) and then as per the approach map using a turn to descend onto the runway?
The GTN750 allows me to fly the DME Arc and then descend onto rwy27 so probably both ways of getting there seem possible, probably irl determined by the ATC.
Have a look at chart 10-2 for EGPA in STAR section, What you see above (Orange track) is direct arrival from the south via WIK vor then intercepting the 9.0 DME arc from KWL to the localiser final approach course. This saves time by not doing the hold and full procedural ILS which is what depicted on the approach chart (White track).
IRL most probably if ATC is radar equipped then you can except radar vectors to the final approach, if radar was not available then they will probably clear aircraft via two approach routes - one via DME arc which is what displayed on your chart (Orange track) or full procedural ILS with hold over KWL. Depends on traffic situation of course.
super! thanks for the calrification!
