yes, according to the video it looks like it will be unusable for GA at the moment..
Another good feature forgot to mention above is moving map/position indicator. Navigraph does a very job with it and I think it is a neat feature for situational awareness. Especially if you fly into unfamiliar airport or airspace then that is good tool to figure out where you are. Based on the reference video above I do not think aviaplanner includes that option.
what was that navigraph ceo thinking? https://youtu.be/xCLcqOvnCto?si=zov3qhGTubFZrIMD&t=512
Lack of sleep probably. It’s good to see competition, and with the built in flightplanner in 2024 and Aviaplanner there surely will be competition.
I am playing with the 3 day trial. Do a flight plan but, do not seen to be able to select a stand to put the aircraft, always spawns on the runway.
Liking the up to date AIRAC for charts, sids and stars.
If anyone can point me in the right direction to get the acft onto a stand when using these flight plans much appreciated.
What do you mean? You select a stand on the in-game world map, not in the planner. And you do it right before you select FLY. If you make any changes to the flightplan after selecting a stand it will reset to runway start.
Was selecting a stand thru the ingame world map but, still spawned me on the reunway.
Will try again tho.
This has been a bug for quite some time now.
Personal Comments and Observations
Select a stand using the drop down menu, not by clicking on a ramp/gate spot using the graphical map.
Either way works so long as you do it last before hitting fly. If you do something else after selecting the parking then the game will lie and show you the parking spot but stick you on the runway. SMH that this ridiculous regression was not dealt with during the beta it appeared.
It’s not just livery changes, there’s various manifestations of this one.
Hi there,
are there any news about aviaplanner?
E.g.:
- when will “NavData Update” be available?
- will they be available at all?
- are there any changes/development/progress?
Thx, Kansti
Given that MSFS2024 comes with a built in planner and includes Lido charts for free, I’m guessing this product is probably dead.
yeah, i think this product will have a tough stand against Navigraph and now against FS24 aswell. I dont see this becoming sucesful, as i would imagine that such a license to provide the charts/Navdata is probably VERY expensive, and their potential userbase just got a LOT smaller now with the FS24 EFB solution.
It looks like MSFS2024 will have all the flight planning we need, judging by the Working Title videos.
So all 3rd parties may struggle to sell.
Navigraph are about to launch “Simbrief Dispatch” directly within MSFS - it was demoed by TwoToneMurphy at 53:15
I highly doubt it.
That’s a great new addition!
