Navigraph Issues

The last five weeks I have had issues with Navigraph, it CTD when I am loading a new flight with a Navigraph flight plan often, especially with the CRJ planes. If it does load the simulator, the graphics is slow and the simulator will CTD in mid flight. When I remove the Navigraph folders and flies from the community folder the simulator works just fine. Fwiw I have updated all the Navigraph folders. Any ideas and suggestions?

Have you used the Navigraph NAVDATA Center app to update the NAVDATA in the CRJ itself?

Yep. But still have issues with CTD and slow graphic at times.

Have you filed a bug with navigraph yet? Maybe they have a fix. Good luck!

Have you tried running with just the Navigraph addon installed and an empty community folder otherwise?

It might be that the Navigraph addon is not playing nice with one of your other addons and if that is the case, it could be either, or i suppose both, that contains a fault that is causing your issue.

Interesting suggestion. I will have to try that, because it seems like the problem started when I added the PMDG 737.

Will do that. Thanks

I use Navigraph and I have the PMDG 737-700.
In my case, they work together flawlessly.

Anyways, I think it makes sense to try that suggestion of emptying the community folder (I hope you use AddonLinker - in that case the whole exercise takes just a couple of mouse clicks!)

Good luck!

Just out of interest, do you have the Navigraph toolbar chart tool installed, as well as the Navigraph data? Both are installed via the Navigraph Navdata Centre.

If so, you might want to try again, with the chart tool removed.

Yes, I do. Will try your suggestions. Thanks

After removing everything from my community folder, I cut and paste all the Navigraph folders back into the community folder and this causes the simulation to CTD and have slowed graphics

I’d been having the same issues. They seem to be gone today.

The problem with manually moving the navigraph folders in and out of the community folder is that there is a purpose-made installer, namely the navigraph data centre, that should be used to install and uninstall the navdata and the toolbar chart viewer.

I’m not certain what the installer does apart from moving the files, but i’d guess its something important

Among other things the NavCenter would clean up the pointers in Content.xml that dictate the loading order of add-ons and native packages. So by deleting only the Navigraph folders, there’s an orphaned entry in Content.xml pointing to the deleted folders - so the sim looks there instead of looking at it’s native Navblue data, and has no Navdata to reference as a result.
