(NDU registry change) Increase performance immediately! AMAZING!

If you really want to try this and don’t feel comfortable in fiddling with the registry, I suggest the above where you can activate or deactivate NDU at will.

Is it possible to try this on WIN10? I have some micro lags essentially on taxiing, approaches and turns FPS between 40 and 20 . internet fiber normaly unlimited
my config is I7 7700 HQ 24 Go memory, NVIDIA 2080 TI 11go
my settings are DX11 IPS at 50% for 1920x1080 LOD 100 AMD option on 0 and all intermediary except clouds and waves , weak for remote cache ,
no lags with native planes FPS 60-70 .

You might want to check the SU10 poll and discussion thread. I recall reading a comment somewhere there that this “feature” had caused someone an issue, Just a suggestion.

Yes, you can disable the NDU in Win 10 the same way as Win 11.

Btw, after I upgraded Win 11 to 22H2 I just happened to notice the NDU start parameter had been reset from 4 (do not start service) to the default 2 (start service at boot up).

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Ndu

You may want to check your system if you’ve also upgraded to 22H2 and have the NDU turned on in the registry.

NDU reg change does totaly nothing for me, same fps and as smooth as before the change.
Win 10, i5-9600K, RTX3060ti.
It’s a monkey sandwich for me!

Did not work for me. My FPS went from a locked 30 to 20’s or less. Stutters galore.

Though at least the stutters did not stay persistent. They remained at 26 fps even though it should be locked at 30. Still, sutters and made the sim annoying to fly

Confirmed.
Same behavior on my installation. Thanks for the hint.
Didn’t see any improvements now, so it should be not needed anymore.

Hello, I updated the topic. I did a new test. I no longer have any difference between 2 and 4 (on and off). This subject is therefore no longer relevant. There was in my opinion a WIndows OR MSFSe update that fixed this. Thank you all for your feedback. Good flights.
