LOL, right, static data will be care-free with SSD, even high re-writes won’t hurt much as in old days.
Maybe they just got no sufficient space after storing Windows 11 + MSFS!

debloat windows 11 and get rid of all the useless data mining apps
I’ve seen several of his videos, and his advice seem reasonable. One caveat though, if using the freeware app “thisiswindows11”. It’s a decent app, but you might run the risk of “over-debloating”, resulting in core features that stop working. Just use it judiciously and discriminative is what I mean.
Sure, run such scripts and then return back to the forums due to loads of unwanted side effects… I would never suggest running things like this. If you keep your Windows install nice and tidy, this is also absolutely not needed. If you have more than 1-2% FPS loss in games due to “bloatware” within Windows, your system is a total mess, end of the story…
I dont know who or what to believe so i just test things out for my own edifaction. If it breaks stuff (which it hasnt so far) then i just do a total rebuild of OS i have time to waste . I dont bother with complaining in forums i would only get an earful of abuse anyway.
I have always found this sim to be Hit and Miss when it comes to a fully functional PROPER setup as per Intended purpose. most people who use forums to gather information and help on various topics would probably feel as i do (im guessing)
I am testing this recently and I think it has improved quite a bit.
If anyone else wants to try something new.
(If you want to criticize, get in the queue, I have fans for that)
I roughly remembered this thread but had no idea about the title anymore except two words in it.. I searched for “performance” and found too much… so I searched for “approved” and didn’t find too much. Guess why… maybe someone could fix that lol
Did you notice that typo “immediately”?
after I found the thread I noticed why I couldn’t find it ^^
Right now Im stuck in this cycle doesnt matter su9 or su10B, I spawn and observe a good solid 20fps, I finish my quick check list, and start the roll, as soon as I start the roll, bam 10 fps or worse, after 1 to 5 mins in the air, the 20fps comes back and stays there (2 out of 5 times) until I go to land somewhere, doesnt matter airport, road, field as soon as the wheel touch the ground, bam back at 10 fps.
Tried the NDU trick on both installs made no difference at all, neither did using a vpn. In fact the last couple of days my network rating at waveform site has been real good too…
The only good thing is that its now the end of July, so any day that other sim public beta will be out, and I was going to wait for some feed back before spending the money, but the last couple of weeks here have convinced my that to just go with it and be done with this non-sense.
Small mod note:
Title edited to correct typos to hopefully assist with searches to find the thread.
Hey..congrats for your perfect decision. Have fun and a lot of happy landings for you!
Ron
and your brand-new pc needed the NDU hack ? or how relates your post to the topic " (NDU registry change) Increase performance immediately! …" ?
Camnot wait to know this, a golden test!
I did the NDU regedit and was surprised that it greatly reduced the minor studder/jitter that was always there with this sim (seemingly caused by main thread bottleneck). I’m running a Ryzen 5900x, Radeon RX6800(16gig), 32gig memory, on Win 11/DX11. This change made the SU9 sim smoother for me running at 4k/30fps/vsync rendering at 4k with Global Rendering Quality set to ultra and terrain LOD at 300. Looks like the NDU is just keeping track of network data usage so basically, I can live without it.
I have the following machine;
IMAC pro, 3,2 GHz Intel xeon W8 core, memory 32 GB, RAdeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB.
My fps is very poor never above 20 FPS.
FS2020 write that according my machine a can set up graphic in ultra mod.
I have partitioned the hard disk with bootcamp and installed window 10
What I’m doing wrong?
Is this trick still recommended for the latest Windows 11 build?
NDU is a feature of Windows and not related to a specific version so yes, it is still recommended. It’s a very simple registry change - if you don’t notice any reduction in stutters then change it back.
Personally, it reduced my stutters so I would recommend it.
