Need help setting up Virpil pedals

After I deleted the cloud save using the method shown below, the game now shows this page after I load a flight. I never saw that before and always ran the game on a PC. It doesn’t recognize my Virpil pedals either anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game without success. Any ideas someone??? Thanks!

Hello @DarkAngel2700,
It’s been a while since I’ve reinstalled, but I think this screen “normal” now and that profile may be a default.

You can add your own controllers. You may have add your Virpil pedals manually as some controllers are not a preset.

If you had those setup previously, it should pull in that profile as long as you didn’t delete your cloud save.

Thanks for your reply. A friend of mine has the game up to date and this window doesn’t show the XBOX control. I also tried to create a new profile for my rudders but they don’t work properly like they used to. I’m totally confused.

Is Windows seeing the pedals?

Yes, it does.

And they are not showing in MSFS?

They show like generic

OK. You should be able to assign bindings to it and save it.

When I do assign bindings, they react strangely. Like, if I press the right or left pedal and release it, the aircraft just go to a spin. I need to press the opposite pedal to stop the spin in that direction but it will spin in the other direction. The aircraft is uncontrollable.

Ah! Are you using an axis binding? Or only Left - Right Binding? You’ll need to use axis.

I use axis…I don’t remember exactly what they are called but it’s something like “right rudder axis” and “left rudder axis”. Each pedal has its own binding.

That should be correct. The rudder should gradually go full deflection as you push and not an instant deflection.

You may have to adjust some of the sensitivities.

When I set mine up (a different type of pedals); I did this while on the apron in exterior view so I could see how the peddles reacted.

I will give it a try. I just checked and they are assigned to “RUDDER RIGHT (YAW RIGHT)” and “RUDDER LEFT (YAW LEFT)”

Ah! OK, that would be wrong.
Use an axis one.

I’m going to rename your topic and move it into #self-service:pc-hardware

That way if anyone has Virpil pedals can also assist. :+1:

It’s very kind of you. Thank you!

It worked. They work perfectly now.

I just looked up those pedals. They look nice!

Thanks! They are the best I had so far and I had a few. Including the Thrustmaster pendular pedals which are very expensive.
Now the issue is fixed with my pedals (You are my new best friend now…lol). I still need to figure out why that XBOX control shows up on the image when I start a flight.
