Please add an app in EFB that allows us to place some pdf files (VFR charts or airplane graphs for example) in a specific directory so we can acces it directly in the cockpit thanks to the tablet, in all playing modes (Free flight, Carrer mode, Multiplayer,…).
Now EFB tablet is in every airplane, let’s use it with our flight documentation !!

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to do this, as the web framework used by the sim (Coherent GT) is not able to display PDFs.
Nothing is impossible in dev…
Since MSFS 2020 and as it is now considered as a digital twin of the Earth, MSFS is very oriented VFR, so it is a must have to be able to see our VAC charts in game… On MSFS we had Sky4Sim add-on which improved a lot the immersion… we need it again and as Asobo integrated an EFB tablet in each cockpit, it could be smart to have this feature directly on this new EFB.
It is, unfortunately, quite impossible. The Coherent framework used by instruments and the EFB cannot display PDFs, and it is not possible through any programming means to enable it to display PDFs.
Is there any other format possible? It is quite easy for example to convert PDFs into jpgs online.

This will do the trick, 5 euro upgrade on the free sky4sim app.
As well as PDFs et al, can be used in career mode to increase immersion.

It looks like “Coherent GT” takes an html file and passes it through the renderer. If that’s the case, there are ways to convert a pdf to html or html +css. You can also extract images if embed base64.
Not in this case. Yes, with an external program of some kind, you could convert PDFs to a HTML file, but Coherent GT itself cannot display PDFs. For third party developers, they certainly could do that with an external program or in cloud services, but since this has to all work multiplatform inside the sim for things that ship with the sim itself, that’s not really an option.
