Any news on when/if new airliners will be coming to the xbox version? I been in talks with flybywire and pinpoint and both the a380 and b777 will be freewre on PC but will not be making any appearance to the xbox marketplace.
Also, flybywire confirmed that all of there aircraft apart from the a320NX will also be freeware on PC but will not be available on xbox.
What does this mean for the future of MSFS 2020 on console? I would get a PC but I do not have the money to spend on a PC to support the capabilities of the game.
Will Asobo release liveries for the B78X & B747?
The aircraft are already in the game with the B78X already usable with the LKM livery. It would be amazing if console could at least see some liveries come into the game so that it doesn’t get stale.
I hugely enjoy the game, but need liveries at least to help keep the enjoyment there. Also, if Asobo have the license to have these aircraft in the game, why not release a payware Boeing pack? I would spend bags on that for real.
I’ve said it before many times XBox is a low cost gateway to MSFS2020, if you want to get into it hardcore then a PC is the only thing that will support all requirements to go hardcore (hardware & software) what we are getting on XBox for the price is amazing but it does have it’s limitations and we have to except them or go out and spend huge $$$$$ on a high spec PC
Unfortunately i don’t think there will be any high quality airliners on xbox. It’s too limited to implement all the features. Consoles do not support mods and i don’t think it will change any time soon.
Your best bet is to wait until Asobo makes some simplified versions of airliners of a similar quality to junkers and default airliners.
When buying on xbox you’ve got the same exact game as we on PC only without modding support. Take cities skylines for example. Look it up how it looks on PC and consoles.
And i don’t mean anything i said in an offensive way, like xbox players are peasants or something. Console players deserve to have fun too and they’re not worse than PC players. I wish that consoles would support mods but sadly i don’t see it happening.
Other than the CRJ or DC6 which I wouldn’t anticipate to drop on Xbox until after SU6, it seems Xbox needs to wait for working title to update the airliners.
Given their portfolio including updating the entire flight planner, I think Q3 2022 is optimistic and I would think they tackle the 787 first, then the 747 before getting to the A320 based on premium/standard edition and the fact that the A320 is generally the highest functioning of the 3, assuming they get this blackout bug squashed at some point.
I should add, I think the ATR will drop with the Italy world update, buuut I wouldn’t expect much more than a skinned CJ4 in terms of avionics and systems depth. It could be quite good though if utilizing working title updates.
But… Liveries will be coming, from possibly two avenues. Jorg said he is working hard and they have AI aircraft and liveries coming as part of the default package. They are also developing a “freeware” marketplace, through which I imagine liveries will be available.
