New AMD chipset drivers 02/06/21

Just a heads up for those of you with AMD based systems who like to try out the latest drivers.
There are some new chipset drivers released on 2nd June 2021 (at least for the B450 & B550 chipsets, I didn’t check all the others)
The releases notes mention a few new features and some stability fixes.

I’ve installed the latest on my B450 based system and did a benchmark before and after but no dicernable difference, got slightly better figures with the new driver but within the margin of error.

Can’t really say if there’s any improvement but then I’m severely GPU limited. Better support for TV’s as monitors will be welcomed by some.

Sorry what are chipsets and how often should I update them?

… and a heads up for Oculus users. This drivers break Oculus AirLink, no VR fun anymore. It is also stated in release notes.

Make sure you upgrade to the latest AMD chipset drivers without delay!

If you do not then your passwords on your PC may be compromised by a security flaw in older AMD chipset drivers.

AMD Chipset Vulnerability Leaks Passwords, Patch Available | Tom's Hardware

AMD has divulged details about a chipset driver vulnerability that can allow non-privileged users to read and dump some types of memory pages in Windows. This technique allows an attacker to steal passwords or enable other types of attacks, including circumventing standard KASLR exploitation (aka Spectre and Meltdown) mitigations (via TheRecord).’

So, there’s a new chipset driver released for my B450-F Asus mobo (and other models).

Have you tried this update and did you notice any difference in the sim?

Keep in mind that article is from 2021…
