New bug: Random camera targeting

Flying along happily when suddenly the camera decided to look at something off to one side. I could turn the view back but as soon as I let go of the view stick it just swings back around again.

Go to camera controls and hit reset view…ok, view is now to the front again but I’ve no zoom control, despite the zoom settings being set to manual. The slider is greyed out. I flick zoom control to auto and then back to manual and ok, I’ve got zoom control again.

5 minutes later it happens again but this time it’s minutes of hitting reset view again and again and manual zoom setting until it finally takes.

Dat’s new…

Maybe you have Target/Smart Camera mapped to a button shared with another custom control?

Hello, I have the same problem also

Complete bug with views, zoom all alone and then crash and back to the office

It’s a common issue since 1.9.3.0

The “Smart Camera” activates on it’s own. Then when you struggle to regain control over the camera, the game eventually crashes to desktop.

Happens to me also since the latest patch. It doesnt seem to be aircraft specific as I have seen it using 3 different aircraft. Results in CTD on every occasion too.

I have this too. Not experienced before the latest patch. Anyone have any potential workarounds?

This has now become unplayable for me and is very disappointing to say the least. I cannot complete any missions in OnAir as a result of this bug.

Me too, I tend to get the camera issue right after take off. Fed up with going through preflight etc. only for it to crash right after.

is it possible that this bug is server dependent?

Got this since last patch, deleted whole install and re-installed it with no mods, first fly perfect
Second fly : avionics in C172 shut off
Third fly : camera bug, ctd

Mine didn’t result in a CTD, after I finally regained control the 2nd time it happened it didn’t occur again and I landed fine.

Happened to me three times today, each time after the random camera thing it crashed to the desktop.

This has happened to me 2-3 times since the latest “patch.” Apparently Asobo doesn’t believe in hotfixes, so it looks like we’ll need to at least wait until Oct 15. smh
