Maybe try the settings (adjusted) described here: Quest 3 and MSFS - please make reports here - #289 by RomanDesign
They helper me a lot. 5800X3D, RTX 4090. Especially the “turbo mode” in OXR Toolkit.
And in general…I would say dump the G2 (before MS does in a few months) and get a Quest 3 with the Virtual Desktop app. I sold mine a month ago for ~300$, so didn’t have to add much more to get a brand new Q3 128GB.
Best decision ever. The difference is night and day in my opinion. The ultra small “sweet spot” in the G2 makes it unusable for sims in my opinion. What’s the point of having a super nice image if it’s only dead center and the rest is a blurry mess. I don’t want to move my head around all the time. In the Quest 3 you can basically look wherever, and everything is clear. It’s a game changer. Even if the image quality (compared to the G2 sweet spot) might be a tiny bit worse. Being able to clearly read all the gauges and displays is much more important to me than perfect color reproduction. Plus once you set it up it just works. You just put it on (no wires!), open your desktop, run the sim and press Ctrl-Tab when the plane is loaded and it just works. I had so many issues with the G2 I lost count. None so far with the Q3.
With the linked settings everything is super smooth, even in the Fenix A320 and a heavy payware airport.
