New Control Profiles Do Not Save

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Control binding profiles do not save since the latest update to MSFS 2024. Upon creating or editing a new profile, the profile will not be added to the list of selectable profiles (for devices with no defaults, it will remain as “None”), and will not be retained through loading into/out of a flight, changing aircraft, or re-entering the controls menu, effectively making binding controls impossible for the time being.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Open the controls menu in settings
  2. Edit a default profile under a device
  3. Duplicate/Create the new profile as prompted (specifics of this new profile don’t matter)
  4. Bind some controls under this new profile
  5. Leave the settings menu
  6. Attempt to either start or end the flight, change your aircraft, reenter the settings menu, or change bindings/profiles
  7. Check the original device and profile you edited, and you will find that it is gone

I am having something similar. There also appear to be so many profiles now, it is getting a bit much

I know this is a bug report topic
I have this the same as the topic op
But as a work around for now i would suggest the following to try and see if this may work

When you select your airplane start the sim
In game you have two ways, call up the controls thru option controller picto on the top of the screen or press esc and choose settings if you make the first change here the sim ask you to give a new name to the profile and then from there you can change and program your device.
It will be automatically saved with the air plane u are using, in this way you can save and try bindings directly in game.

Hi,

I had to reinstall MSFS for another reason.
When trying to set up my controls I have the same problem.
Nothing can be saved or renamed in Control Settings.

I noticed this similar issue last night but it only seemed to occur for the Airplane Specific controls. I could set the binding and see it in the list after being promoted to save a new profile name but if I then went to change the profile, before Changing anything it said None and cycling left or right to the next profile caused the binding to be lost.

If however I did not attempt to cycle the profiles after setting the bindings, if I just pressed Save and Close, returing to the C172 the controls now worked.

Hi,

After restarting my computer and then relaunching MSFS2024, the simulator resynced itself and all my setting reappeared. Let’s hope it stays this way.

same problem here, also and i not want delete all airports in CF… i have make ticket to zendesk…

I discovered a few days ago that changing the accessibility settings from all in the main setup menu after the game start breaks all control settings.

Exactly the same issue on Xbox, so another cross platform which suggests something far deeper. Several times a day I have to rebind the yoke pitch, propeller controls and mixture controls for my VelocityOne.

I had same problem and i fixed it for myself. I have game at Xbox game pass PC.
I repaired/fixed install, loged out from xbox game pass pc and from ms store, then i restarted PC. Then i loged in to xbox game pass app and to ms store app. After that i launched game and everything was back in normal.

Same issue here, but it’s only on one of my controllers with the issue. I was able to create a profile but the bindings are gone from the profile every time I start the game.

Also I am unable to delete the profile. I can delete and press ok but then the profile is still there.

i think this is bugs, when so many have problem White this i hope Asobo fix this quik…

Another one here, same problem… whatever the latest update was broke saving control maps. Everything that was saved before the latest patch was no problem and is still there, but I have to remap about half my buttons and even my elevator and aileron axes every single flight. What a PITA.
