New Flight Planner

Anyone gotten the new flight planner to work well yet?

Flight Planner

I’ve got my route enteres and I think all of the necessary info. I’ve selected the TBM 930 as my plane which should load all of the speeds and fuel info. However the flight plan is not filling in info like speeds and altitude as it should. Has anyone gotten this to work yet?

also I can’t get it to download the saved flight plan. it does nothing when i click it

My understanding is when you save flight plan from the planner it will save to the cloud and when you go into MSFS 2024 and open the Route page in the EFB you will see Load Flight Plan button and when you click that you will see the saved flight plans from the planner.

I’ve been experiencing the same issue with no auto calculation of speed and altitude. Another problem is there is no auto calculation for fuel. In the flight planner you have to manually set the Average Fuel Burn in Performance Options on the Route page and then the Trip will give a number other than 0 inside the Fuel & Payload page. In the EFB in MSFS 2024 it’s even worse, there doesn’t seem to be any adjustment possible and gives an unrealistic trip fuel (e.g. 112 lbs for A321 from KSFO-KLAX).

I have deleted FS2024 for now. But with the Flight Planner we got a very nice tool that can be used also in FS2020 when loading on the mobile/tablet/browser. Currently only the FS2024 planes can be selected, but still easy to make at least the route planning.
Then the airport charts are there. Until now, I had a look at the ones needed for airliners.
Airports with frequencies, weather, active runway etc.
I have no Simbrief subscription, so really happy to get access to all relevant data within one application for free. Fast loading and responsive to use.
With all the negative going at launch, this is already a win. Also for 2020 users.

I tried creating a flight from KHFD to KISP and then used the auto-route. It had me flying all the way to eastern Europe and back just to get on the STAR. This sim/game is still in beta. Good grief.

Well, I sorta have the flight planner working in the 787 but it seems hit or miss. I have an IFR rating and know what it is supposed to do and it does upload but then not necessarily all legs show up in the AP.

Anyway, for those interested, here is an approach.

Do you get any solution to calculate the fuel ? It is always zero.
Thank you

nope. think it’s broken

Do we need to put the consumption of fuel per hour.
Where I can find that info ?
On the sim where you are choosing the airplane in free flight. Copy that value on the web fligh planner. I did a tutorial but it is in italian

I have read across a number of threads and bug reports that there are some significant issues with the flight planners and their integration in the game, or lack thereof. Will resist summarization, but know that a number of solid pilots have been looking into the situation, you may wish to search out the other threads to follow their progress. What I have both experienced, and read about the flight planners is complex and problematic; if they are in themselves very promising for 24 once they are working coherently and reliably. No ETA on that!
