I want to buy a new graphics card to play FS2020 in 4K. From various reviews I saw that a 3080 is faster than a RX 6900XT. So which card you would recommend?
I have a Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU and 32GB RAM.

6900 is faster than 3080 (and 3080ti in avarage) but in raster only.
Terrible RT performance and no DLSS

I own and use the RX 6900 XT. It’s a beast of a card. I can play Cyberpunk in 5K with all settings maxed including ray tracing (well, it’s not DLSS but hey). However, Flight Simulator easily kills the card even when running at FullHD resolution in photogrammetry areas. The only solution so far seems to reduce settings from “Ultra” to “Normal”. This way one get’s half-decent FPS and only minor stutters. Personally, I’d wait for AMD’s next generation to be unveiled.

I only fly in DLSS in 2D and VR. Therefore I only will use Nvidia GPUs. DLSS is smoother and better fps on my system. AMD can’t do DLSS. I have 3700 gpu and 5600X cpu

As I said from various benchmarks the 3080 seems to be faster than the 6900XT like on Guru3D:
So with DLSS I will also get a huge improvement, right?
RT I don’t plan to use. I think therefore I would need a 4090?
I also plan to buy a new monitor with 5K2K resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. Are the 3080 or 6900XT enough for medium or high settings? I don’t need Ultra…
