New install stuck on Press Any Key to Start

Brief description of the issue:
Stuck on Press Key to Start, when I press on a key I see the little circle turning for 3 seconds and then disapears and the Press Key to Start is still there, nothing else is happening!

Start the Sim
PC specs for those who want to assist (if not entered in your profile)
Intel i9-10920X
G-Skillz Trident Z RGB 32GB 3466MHZ
EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA

Make sure that the 2 Windows Services shown in the picture are running. If they’re not running, you won’t be able to log into the XBox service/lunch the Sim.

They are both Running. I am still stuck at the same window Press Any Key to Start with the circle loading for 3 seconds.

I am running Windows10 Pro version 20H2, OS build 19042.906 just in case this helps!

P.S. I only installed the game from Microsoft App Store and lauched it and this is where it stops, it did not install the 90GB of data like I see it should once it starts for the first time, if that is any help to trouble shoot?

Have you confirmed that your “Microsoft Store” is up to date also?

Select the Start button, and then from the apps list, select Microsoft Store . In Microsoft Store , select See more > Downloads and updates > Get updates . If an update for Microsoft Store is available, it will start installing automatically

One other thing to try is (as I’ve had this same issue a few times) is, delete the files in the folder path below>> (Replace ““YOUR_LOCAL_ACCOUNT”” with the user account that you are logged in as)

C:\Users"“YOUR_LOCAL_ACCOUNT”"\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker\Cache

Tried what they said and still get the same problem. I have no Anti-Virus on this PC and I am running EN Language Pack USA :slight_smile:

All is up to date in the App Store. Running version 1.14.6.0 of Flight Simulator.

Same problem still does not lauch, stuck at the same place! :frowning:

Hmmmm. Have you confirmed that you are successfully logged into the Microsoft Store?

then you have these windows defender… it caused also trouble sometimes :wink:

These black screen ( with showing text ) ( one of the favorits in forum search :wink: ) … so far I rememeber me it is a xbox/store account thing.

After flying successfully earlier today I have tried to load the game just now, but it is stuck on the last splash screen even though the blue bar fills the bottom of the screen. I exited the game and I deleted the most recent files installed in the community folder,as that is often suggested as an issue, and have signed out of and onto X box and I have installed/updated nothing else since I played last, is anyone else had this issue today?

start your xbox app on PC , log out , reboot system , start xbox app and login , then start msfs

I’ve got the same issue. A 1.43gb download followed by a prompt to allow the App Store to make amendments leads to blank screen.

I had it happily installed and in use until I had to reinstall windows recently.

I’ve followed just about every install guild I can find

Every update this happens. and now it’s happening after the update. so I get to do it twice. whoopie
I do not even want the Xbox app on my machine, there is no need for it. maybe Microsoft knows this and does it on purpose.

The only time I open it is to log out reboot my machine and log back in again.

This has to be someone’s idea of a joke because in no way would anyone actually design something to work like this.

so… you know how to re-login ?.. where is the issue ? I have to re-login in other games to from time to time… and about “xbox” you should may be more inform you before you buy a game from xbox-gaming-universe.

Go the same, downloading the update and it gets stuck at the same place each time, I have cleared the downloads out and restarted but still gets stuck and keeps looping.

Hi,

After I played this game for 20h and a pause of about 1 week, today I’m not able to go further from “Press any key to start”.
I checked solutions from here, but none of them are working.
What is going on with this game? I brought the Delux version on Steam.
