New mounting bracket for the Tobi Eye Tracker 5

Hi All,

Saw the YouTube video from SimHanger on the new Mounting Bracket for the Tobi. Has anyone tried it yet…and, what I really want to know…did it make any noticeable difference with the performance of the Tobi if you moved it closer to your eyes?

Thanks,

Garry

Hah, well… BluTack is cheaper for the same result lol.

Bit ‘Heath Robinson’ for me (opinion).
Bit late as well, mine’s well and truly glued on, though I haven’t given it a good tug.

I had NO idea there was new software for the Tobii.

That seems massively improved for alignment. My yoke and seat height have always been a bit of an issue.

EDIT: I downloaded the software (it’s Alpha, but seems well implemented) and what a difference it has made for me. My Boeing yoke has a stand for a tablet, but since I got the Tobii, putting the iPad on the stand interferes with it.

The software allows you to set a much more precise relationship between your display’s dimensions, and your head”s position to how the display is positioned. This latter adjustment is what made the huge difference. I can have the iPad on the stand again and the Tobii no longer misbehaves.

Now, all I need is a proper “pause” for Tobii and a separate X & Y ratio adjustment and it will be complete.
