My issue is different than what you described on the forum:
We are working on possible solutions to the requirement to login each session.
For the moving maps - if you ARE getting the message “could not connect to simulator” then it is actually different than the others in this thread. In this case it sounds like your don’t have Navigraph Simlink installed, which it needs for moving maps. Download Simlink from Navigraph

Stephen
In my case, I do have simlink installed, but when I press on the triangle in the ingame panel, I get an error message that says “cannot connect to simulator”
It works just fine on the desktop app.
Ok, that’s strange then. Can you positively confirm that you are signed in with the same a account in both Simlink and the Charts panel?
Regards,
Stephen
Yes, it’s the same account on both.
Please try with the latest update of Simlink released today, and if the problem remains then please post in our forum. Thank you!

Last night when I turned on my computer, I was prompted with a simlink update. After the update, the geo-referenced tracking in the in-game panel finally started working! I believe my issue is fixed now.
Thank you!

Sounds good!
We also released v0.3 of the panel today. This version will remember your login across several flights, within the same sim session.
It will still require a new login when you start your simulator again, but we are working on a fix to this issue too.

Stephen

Do you think there will be a fix for the in-game toolbar refreshing every time you switch between internal and external views? This make using the charts a bit of a hassle if you want to change views.

Thank you so much!! My moving map and purple aircraft icon is now working inside the in-game panel. Keep up the great work !!
Glad to hear!
We are working on this one too. Hopefully it can be solved.

Stephen
A new update to the Charts Panel was released today, which now keeps your session state while minimizing or closing the panel during a flight. It also adds a virtual keyboard.
See release notes for v0.4 at Release Notes - Navigraph Charts In-Game Panel for MSFS - MSFS In-Game Panel - Navigraph

Here’s a screenshot of the virtual keyboard, which is good for avoiding keystrokes being passed to the sim:

bumping to say its still not scaling properly if the regular display settings are set to 4k. Still basically not legible in VR.
Did you see the +/- buttons in the bottom right corner of the display? They will zoom the UI to make it more legible on high res displays.
