I can confirm I am getting the random blue tiles on ground textures, mainly when panning the view out the side windows.
Have just tried a DDU safe mode clean install of the latest drivers and it’s still happening. Am going to revert to the previous driver.
Save my time, thanks for the info.
Reverted to previous driver and no more glitches or CTDs.
Yes can confirm, DDU’d the new driver off and returned to 496.76 all working ok now 
Just updated to 497.09
Great looking textures!
Ground Fog/Haze is still too much but…
No CTD’s works fine here…

Try panning your view to the side windows, see if you see any purple/blue ground textures. That’s the only Issue I had not CTD’s
I’d vote for this issue, too. Loaded the new driver earlier this morning, and first flight of the day had a crash for the first time in a long time. Tried a different route, and same issue. Saw strange colored textures/artifacts on the ground, including right next to the plane while awaiting takeoff.
Went back to the previous version and all seems well.
DX11, Win 10, 1080Ti which has never given me problems before.
Hope Nvidia hops on this issue quickly.

Can confirm the new driver is causing CTDs and blue squares as well. Rolling back now.
no CTDs (so far) but blue patches on the ground coming and going

Having same problems with the new drivers, instant CTDs and blue artifacts.
I get a CTD when loading a flight, dont even come to the “FLY NOW” button…

Yup same here. Updated to the latest drivers.
The sim starts fine, but as soon as I hit Fly Now, it loads for a while and crashes 100% of the time

Just know i have the same problem 
Tried MSFS after seeing this thread. No CTD but the game froze when I was loading into the F-18 landing challenge. Tried again after a restart except I loaded the TBM at an airport - seemed to be working fine. So, I don’t know if it’s a driver issue for me or not… shrug
Time for a hotfix driver by nVidia. 
Back to normal after roll back to 496.76.
