4090 and 7800x3D (easier to manage vs 7950x3D, all cores with 3D cache access, performance in MSFS very similar, in VR you will be anyway GPU limited, even on 4090)
This is great combination for G2.
Win11 - many users reported that G2 head tracking is wobbling, there is a trick to prevent this - covering 2 of 4 G2 tracking cameras (I checked it, it works, don’t ask me why). As Microsoft and HP are no longer focusing on VR and WMR I would not expect an update fixing this issue. Win11 is required if you will decide on 7950x3D, for managing the 3D cache and non-3D cache enabled cores.
Win10 - G2 not impacted by the wobbling issue, but Win10 is nearing the end of it’s lifecycle.
It the past there were some issues with G2 and AMD motherboards, which were supposedly resolved by G2 v.2 cable (the one with the power button) and S/W updates. I have the updated cable, and G2 worked fine with my AM5 socket equipped mobo
