New PC stuttering issues

Description of the issue: Just upgraded my PC to improve my CPU, RAM and now my game performs extremely badly which is really noticable when moving the camera in cockpit.

For context before this current setup I had a 5800X3D and 32GB of DDR4 ram. Everything other than my GPU has been upgraded and I’ve gone from consistent 90+ fps to 30 if i’m even lucky.

Sometimes the game will be completely smooth and fine but If i tab out, god forbid then the game wil carry on with the issue in the video below. The performance can ease up when I’m 10ft off the ground when I take off but on the floor it’s certainly horrendous.

I’m wondering if i had some settings in my nvidia control pannel on my last pc which were improving the performance or not.

I’m using DLSS and Frame gen to try and ease the load and improve performance but no luck.

Playing on XBOX GAME PASS VERSION.

You went from an AM4 board/CPU to an AM5 set.
I’ve done the same.

I installed a clean version of Windows on a newly formatted C: drive, and made sure my System BIOS and chipset drivers were updated. Then I installed FS2024 on the same D: drive I had FS2020 installed on.

Installing the programs that I had been running on the old C: drive was a bit of a pain, but I had all the installers on a flash drive, and made sure I had a complete list of every program I needed to reinstall.

Yeah it was 100% a new PC where I just put my old GPU into the new one.

What is your monitor’s refresh rate set to? You don’t want to be getting more FPS than your refresh rate.

• yes

• seems to have to do with Frame Generation
@ReecePharo same issue as reported in my thread, please vote there for better visibility and urgency

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Most likely, it’s a frame generation issue. Press Alt+Enter to switch to windowed mode and then Alt+Enter again to return to fullscreen—this should resolve it.

It resolves it but sometimes only for a few seconds. That is no feasible solution, Asobo should finally look into this. I reported this issue already in December 2023 in MSFS 2020 and they told me that because DX12 was in Beta they can’t do anything… now DX12 is out of Beta and these experts have carried through the same issue…

Let’s hope the refactored NVIDIA DLSS 4 will fix it.

It’s set to 165Hz

I’m certainly picking up a 5000 series so we shall see

OK, try setting Vsync from off to fast in Nvidia Control Panel.
