Yes I know in theory that is true. But I have removed it (using Addons Linker = unticked it) and it’s not in the list of loaded assets, and I deleted Content.xml so it would regenerate that on next load. It’s even on a separate drive which was added in Addons Linker (in settings) but after I unticked it, I also removed that drive from settings.
But, in that last screenshot, that’s still it, isn’t it?
Then try removing it completely from the community folder rather than using linkers and see if that gets rid of it. If it does you know the linker isnt working properly. If it doesnt go you must be looking at something else.
When flying over this Canterbury Photogrammetry City I often get poor FPS, (8-17). Occasionally I get 30-55fps. Not sure why I am struggling at times? I have cleared my Community Dir of everything else! All other Photogrammetric Cities, including others of this author cause no problem. Another weird thing I have noticed is that when I get poor FPS the progress bar when returning to main menu is very slow. Strange! Any suggestions?
Seems that for some reason having “seafront simulations vessels global shipping” causes a major loss in FPS over Canterbury. If you have this in your Community Folder then move it elsewhere & try flying around Canterbury!! Good FPS for me now!
Hi, sorry I know its been over a month are you still having these issues…with Low FPS limited to mainthread. I too had the same issues today south East England. No matter what I did could not get the FPS back changed settings to low end PC with no success. Do you have seasons installed?
Hi. To be honest I don’t know. I have had very limited leisure time the last month or so, and decided when I do have time I want to actually fly and not get into masses of testing and deleting / reloading to test again etc (troubleshooting) — so I have not tried this area since. I’ve been flying other parts of the world where it’s smooth and nice
I should have a bit of time over the weekend to look at this again so I will report back (it’s on my to do list anyway to try and figure this out). Yes I do have 4 Seasons, and all the Seafront stuff, and GAIST, and FS Realistic. May just be combination of all that sending my RAM usage too high and the freezes are when it’s swapping memory in and out of the disk pagefile I think, so I’m trying to find a way to reduce the memory footprint overall for worst case scenarios - as I’m limited to 16gb total physical RAM.
May just have been server or download speed issues at that time. Who knows!
No thats good, (glad your getting some flying hours in) I spent all day troubleshooting. As I was flying airhauler2 from france to uk. My FPS dropped soon as I arrived south East England.
Same issues you had first limited to GPU then my FPS went down 9-12 mainthread limited. No matter what I did could not get my FPS back
I also have seafront and 4 seasons, however I noticed soon as I deleted “asset model” from 4 seasons (I use the autoseason app) so I pressed reset and just loaded the season, did not load “asset model”
Hmm interesting. I have the download as separate folders and use AddOns Linker but I see the Model Assets is a separate entry. Surely that is needed to display unique tree types though?
Maybe time to invest in Rex Accuseasons instead!?!
I have this scenery downloaded, Did more testing today, its not bijan 4 season. I have all the seafront simulations, basically I still had Enhanced AI installed which is not required.
I deleted that file had all Of Bijan files loaded and Seafront Sim loaded no issues.
Seafront Sim ordered via Orbx
So dont invest in accuseason yet
Their website does not show clarity…I have sent an email to Seafront Sim.
Had some time to test this again. This is what happened:
I deleted the Enhanced AI via the Orbx Central app (as they wrote it’s no longer necessary. Trying to get a refund ask only recently bought it but Orbx are not replying yet).
Started a flight from Biggin Hill (30fps), flew east over Maidstone (dropped to 18-20fps) and on to Canterbury (by which time frames were about 10!). Flew south and it just dropped and dropped until it was 4-5fps near the coast. So it’s not Canterbury causing the problem. It is boats and as you get nearer the channel/sea it gets worse.
I deleted (moved to backup drive) I the “VisualEffectLibs” folder from the Vessels Core package.
Started a flight from just north of Canterbury and flew over the city then south to the coast. NO PROBLEMS. 30fps all the way!!
Flew out over the sea (over the white cliffs of Dover then west) and indeed there are a lot of ships visible - some of which do have wakes!
But their workaround really does work. Hope SU10 sorts it then! Why on earth could Asobo not put out a little hotfix for this?!
NOTES:
this is tested without the Canterbury PG freeware.
this is with all the regional Seafront packs still installed (including SE England).
