New Release: Just Flight PA-28R Turbo Arrow III/IV

Hi all,

We’ve released a further small update to the PA28 Turbo Arrow III/IV today, fixing some issues that we found during the Marketplace submission process. These should appear on other stores shortly, and have been submitted to both the 2020 and 2024 Marketplaces.

v0.6.3

  • Fixed mixture level behaviour with LOCK interaction system (MSFS 2024 only)
  • Fixed mixture lever lock animation
  • Fixed flap indication on MSFS HUD
  • Fixed HSI drifting – HSI should no longer drift
  • Fixed EFB Charts and Map apps flickering (MSFS 2024 only)
  • Fixed slightly offset TAKEOFF WEIGHT red warning box on EFB Fuel/Payload menu
  • Fixed parking brake not set when starting in walkaround mode (MSFS 2024 only)

Thanks,
Martyn

Very pleased that the map is now working on the tablet. Presumably this will be coming to the F28 and RJ soon?

Yes, the fix will be included in the next updates of all our MSFS aircraft.

I know this is the 2020 port running in 2024, but it looks like the HSI’s bezel is missing:

Pretty sure that’s not the same instrument. I’ve not flown GA for years so can’t remember the correct terminology, but the bottom image isn’t an HSI.

You need to enable the HSI in the JF EFB.

The upper instrument is the HSI showing no bezel. The DI below is what you get with the HSI toggled off, and shows how it has a bezel.

It’s the same location in the instrument panel. The instrument is toggled via the EFB. I’m showing both states to illustrate the missing bezel.

(Odd that the images are so dark, I will redo them tomorrow.)

EDIT: Well, it appears that is how the HSI’s bezel does look as compared to the manual:

Its bezel is quite different to the DI’s.

That’s deliberate and just the style of that paticular HSI when equipped in the PA28.

I didn’t follow the PA-28 the last time as i bought the bundle in the marketplace and it wasn’t available till this week.
Now i did my first flights and the handling in the air changed compared to 2020 before.
Is it normal, that there is nearly no elevator down available? i made a landing video and at the end i show the elevator that it kinda doesn’t move down.
Just wondered, thanks.

here it is:

On X Box X FS2020 flying the Arrow III I’m finding on some flights the heading bug/GPS track is 90 degrees out from reality.

e.g. if I want to fly a course of 000 in heading hold mode I have to set the heading bug to 270.

I’ve been scratching my head trying to work out what causes this, is it a newish bug?
FWIW I have over 100 hours in this a/c and have only encountered this issue recently.

Any insights?

Good news and bad news.

The Arrows are on the marketplace in 2024!

…but because I bought the bundle in 2020 it isn’t offering me the upgrade. Or at least I presume that’s why

That’s not good. I will be in the same situation. Hopefully Just Flight can step in for us and get it sorted.

2024 is all about waiting – Microsoft Waiting Simulator.

I’m assuming that’s what it is.

Does anyone have just one of the Arrows to confirm that they were offered the upgrade?

I too bought the bundle (and have the same issue).

I also have the Warrior II and Vulcan. Both of which have just been updated to 2024 without a hitch - except a minor issue with the Warrior which won’t download for local installation, but of course can be streamed.

Just completed the flight I was in and checked my library – no dice; no 2024 Arrow Bundle.

Looking at the Marketplace, there isn’t a bundle for sale, so perhaps that is why we aren’t seeing the update? I only see the Arrow by itself and the two Turbos together, so just the two offerings for sale.

I strongly suspect that’s the case

There was an issue with the PA28 bundle which means that it’s lagging slightly behind the individual PA28 updates. We’ve now approved the bundle for release on the Marketplace so hopefully that’ll be available within the next week.
