This sounds like an apt descrition… My dad would have up’ed this one level by calling it “a pimple on the face of (MSFS 3rd-party) progress.” Thanks for checking it out for us. It kind of makes me wonder if maybe the author forgot something basic that’s causing the ‘nothing works’ issue. Were you mod-free at the time? I guess we’ll see.

I’m surprised the other guy gave it three stars. This thing lives up to the “scenery” part of the brand name, sounds like.
I buy most of the planes out there too – there are only a couple I don’t own – but this one sounds like a hard pass.

The plot thinkens… I just loaded this up again and the loading screen text is from Aermacchi MB-339. It tells you ALL about the MB-339 while you are loading this F-18…
Does this mean they stole Dino Cattaneo’s flight model? I think I am gonna drop him a note…

Hello,
Whoever you are, I bought your F-18 on SimMarket today. My expectations were low considering the price as well as your description of minimal cockpit animations. However, I still feel your product description is misleading due to omission of KEY facts your customers should know before making their decision to purchase this. You should point out the following in a clear, concise language:
- Cockpit is NOT functional – NONE of the instruments, displays, gauges, or switches work. This aircraft is designed strictly for taking screenshots as there is no way to tell how fast you are flying, where you are heading, etc. There are is NO functional navigation equipment or performance management equipment.
- You have used Dino Cattaneo’s MB-339 model as a template – even the loading screen text includes MB-339 descriptions you stole from his aircraft.
I will be reporting this.

Just talked to Dino. He was made aware of this by SimMarket. That’s why they took it down - they made the guy remove those descriptions. But now it’s back. And it’s still using MB-339’s DATA. Unreal. I think this deserves a thread of its own to make buyers beware.

Just wanted to make you aware that this product has copyright issues:

Author used IndiaFoxtEcho’s flight model. Dino Cattaneo said you were in contact with him and the author removed loading screen descriptions of MB-339 aircraft from this, BUT the flight model remains.

Author falsely claims the aircraft flies according to the specifications - it flies like MB-339, cause the flight model is stolen. Also, the cockpit is NOT minimally animated. It’s not ANIMATED AT ALL. It has zero functionality and no switches, instruments, or gauges work. It’s impossible to tell where you are going or how fast.

Author claims exterior model is fully animated. This is also false. Gear doesn’t retract, flaps don’t retract.
I kindly ask for a full refund on this stolen intellectual property. I want nothing to do with it. It is up to you to remove it from your store, but I highly recommend this. It’s nothing short of a scam - the same opinion held by Dino Cattaneo of IndiaFoxtEcho.
Please protect your customers from scam - I own all 24 commercially released aircraft for MSFS and this is a new low.
