I’m flying this aircraft in Air Hauler 2, its a fairly decent cargo runner, but, whats going on with the WX radar? unless I missed something, is there a specific reason that its still not implemented?
Other than that, I actually really like flying it.
It’s a pity the update is on facebook as I refuse to use it due to the security issues and the annoyance factor of constant pestering for friends I have never heard of and not interested in.
Flightsim.to would be a far better forum.
I like it because it fits my play style for now, cargo hauling around Iceland / Greenland where you have pretty variable weather, obviously cold and sometimes short / frozen airstrips (or even grass / dirt / tundra).
The main attraction for me was it was one of the first twin propeller planes you could get for MSFS with steam gauges, I think there was just it and Carenado’s Piper Seminole at the time, and the Seminole was slow and only had 4 seats. These days with Aerosoft’s Twin Otter on its way, you might want to wait for that instead, but I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of the EMB-110 and don’t regret buying it, and I’m still looking forward to the service pack.
Yep, the sim is sorely lacking here. The DC-3 and Twotter not being out, the Ju rather underwhelming (the modernized one) there is a gap. I need something for onAir as well… But so far I held of on this waiting for the service pack. Should have went for it as well I guess.
For me I would buy it again, its definitely worth it. I do enjoy flying it and I kind of answered my own question seeing on Facebook that in Dec/Jan 2022 they are releasing a sizeable update for it.
It looks nice too externally, internally maybe could do with some work, but its still a nice aircraft to own in AH2.
I’ve also been flying the MilViz PC-6 Porter as well in AH2, if you haven’t got that, check that out as well (that does have a working WX radar for those weather volatile locations!).
Bought this yesterday from the MSFS Marketplace and the version did not have the ipad (not that I can see anyway), and I have no documentation for it and can’t find a download for it anywhere. I’m a bit disappointed. The Facebook update says it’s not for the Marketplace purchasers because that has the update…not that I can see.
Thanks JazzSam, I received similar message from developer Carlos last night. I’m sure that it is there for me too. It was a combination of not seeing it and not being able to find the documentation or the location of it. I looked and tried to search for it, but didn’t find it. Carlos also advised that for MSFS it is in the “installed packages” folder and then the path " Official(OneStoreOrSteam)\nextgensim-aircraft-bandeirante\Data\NextGen\Product_Docs ".
I’m fairly certain I will find both the documents and the ipad based on this useful information. Thanks to you and to the developer for providing the necessary information.
I spoke too soon. Upon checking, MSFS Marketplace only has version 1.0 not the new version of 1.3. So…still no updated version with improvements including ipad and no documentation.
Somehow I still missed that button until now looking at your picture. I’m glad to know that you have found only the early version available at Marketplace and it’s not just me. The developer seems to think the updated version is available there.
I will try the button you show in your picture and I’m sure it will work. Have you found documents for that version? I haven’t looked too much for the packages folder described by the developer, but would like the docs if/when they are available.
I’m told there are good sound improvements with the new release and am eager to get the updated version. I needed a small commuter plane for my Economics Flights at my website and those are hard to find in MSFS. This seems to be the first 18-seat small commuter plane that will meet my needs until other things become available.
Thanks again. If I understand the FB post correctly, the update is only to bring the ipad back to earlier standards that I guess is already available on the Marketplace version. I’m not sure about the sound though, and would like to make sure I have the updated sound mod which is probably not included in the MSFS Marketplace version.
Developer wanted to gain access to my computer system to set things up for me. This was way beyond what I would allow - and should be totally unnecessary. I guess I’ll just keep this plane as is until something better comes along to replace it in this weight class of aircraft.
