I really like my VKB Gladiator NXT EVO = Premium.
I programmed it for the ministick to dual as a POV & Mouse.
Works great.\
Excellent flight stick.
Maybe this will give you some ideas on programming it in FS2020.

I failed to mention what Thrustmaster; I got the T-Flight Stick X.
I didn’t plan to keep it and really it served as a stop gap because…my VKB just arrived!
I’ll learn all the other stuff you mentioned at some point BUT I am doing exactly what you described in your last few words; spawn, take off, land, and enjoy the scenery in between

I plugged it in only to have to figure out what all controls I actually need to bind; your reference will be a tremendous help so thank you!

I have to say, Holy Crap!
After programming my new stick, I had a level of control I didn’t think possible!
I went as far as flying literally above the trees, as every movement on the stick was direct and precise.
Especially the throttle which allowed me to land the F/A-18 smoothly and easily!
I didn’t even know you could request fueling!
And taking off again, all at night!
This stick has really made MSFS 2020 thoroughly enjoyable and that’s just with my new stick.
Can’t wait until my new throttle arrives!
