I think this should mostly apply to the Quest 3 as well : Tips I Wish I Had for Optimizing MSFS in VR (Quest 2/3 & RTX 4080)
No matter you are using VD or Link, there are very precise mix of settings that give very good results as many factors are tied together. For example:
- Oversampling is very important for clarity, but DLSS is necessary to get the FPS you need
- FPS are important, but stable FPS are even more important and relate to the Hz of the headset.
- Appropriate bitrate depends on the codec
- etc.
My recommendation in the post above is to stick with the cable (at least to start with), and to with stock options available in Windows, Oculus and MSFS software.
