Someone has uploaded a tree removal download that removes the oversized dense trees in 176 cities.

It removes completely the autogen trees in those cities. That means the ugly photogrammetric trees are visible. From 1500ft and above, this is better looking. But when you’re coming down for a landing (or just want to fly illegally low for seightseeing), it is not nice at all.
@bijanstudio released a better mod that tunes down the tree density and height in cities (and a lot more improvement to the biomes and seasons). It is payware, although it is quite cheap for such a global add-on that gets new updates very often, following requests and IRL feedbacks from simmers.
