New Ultimate Mesh shading for Flight simulator?

From what I understand (I am a bit of a noob xD, sorry) this new mesh shading technique should speed up rendering of scenes with lots of objects with complex geometry (cities etc would benefit a lot) and take a load off the CPU.
I know DX12 support is planned (I wonder what the status of it is), and this seems to be a DX12 feature, so I was wondering if the team is planning on using this too…

Also… I’m aware the team is working on multi GPU support with DX12, but does that mean in SLI or two different GPUs, say a 1660 ti and a 1080 ti could work together to render ?

[edit] I also wonder if direct storage will be implemented…

My CPU load is only ~30% on a good day, but I know what you mean. We’ll see what SU10 brings for DX12 improvements, but I’d wager DX12 is still going to take a few more years to get right.
