New York City, always very dark, no lights at all 5k out, just a black void, red lights only 3k out, no building lights near Central Park at 2k, few lights visible at 1k, not very impressive.
Do you need an add-on or will that be the same as far as lighting is concerned?
Have you installed the free World Update: USA from the in-sim marketplace?
Same here since update 5 or so… nightflight, cities little lighting, air to bright.
The first days of SU8 the sky nightlighting was better then before, but now it’s very light again
At the moment i don’t even see other planes lights flying 3000ft over an international airport while on vatsim its infested with planes

I have every update going, but it’s always been like this, I thought it was my settings but apparently not.
One of the biggest cities in the world but hides in TOTAL Darkness on MSFS, I can see really good street lighting and houses perfectly as I approach the City which is impressive but as you look ahead towards NYC it is in Total Darkness.
Then as you get really close all you see are the Red Warning Lights on the top of Skyscrapers and not one light in the body of the Skyscraper. As I departed the city I did see two or three Skyscrapers with lights in the windows.
It’s very strange, as you look from a distance all the surrounding street lighting and town lights and housing is nice and bright as it should be, but NYC is just like Dark Matter, a total void.

I have the New York City add-on, think it’s SamScene or something like that. But even with the add-on, you can still see the problem with the whole of the NY area, I noticed that the Skyscraper lighting is a lot better. But the gloom surrounding everything is awful. Tried every time at night still no good.
If anyone has any ideas to fix this please post
