Newbie needs help getting started

I’m a newbie in this forum and need help. I dabbled in FS in the late 1980’s. A couple of years ago, I bought FS 2020 together with a replacement Windows 11 laptop with an Invidia GeForce RX 3050 graphics card. I recently attempted to use FS 2020 and purchased a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. To my surprise, Logitech does not provide a driver for Windows 11 (why do they still sell this joystick?). I managed to download a driver for Windows 10 and install it. The problem is that FS 2020 does not recognize the joystick. Could someone please help me with the next steps so that I can fly a plane? Thanks in advance!

Disconnect your Joystick
In W10 Device manager probably is a yellow exclamation mark
Click on and Uninstall
Reboot your PC
Connect your Joystick

Thank you, Pilotfirst9999! I"ll be working through these steps over the next few days.

I used to use this flight stick and as far as I can remember no driver is needed. Just plug it in prior to loading the sim. The sim will recognize the device and load in default bindings for you to use.

Happy flying! :small_airplane:

Thanks. That was the key; I had to connect the joystick before I started FS.

Thanks for replying. I’m making progress after I followed Coleo91’s advice of connecting the joystick before starting FS.
