As of my knowledge, Correct me if I am wrong but I think wasm is only for addons, I mean players can survive for a few days without addons right?,

Last time I checked the Xbox requires a separate WASM download that is not part of the base-game download. Itā€™s a form of an add-onā€¦ so I can see them pushing the Xbox WASM fix through that module. Not to mention that maybe SU-15 is having troubles with WASM because that individual package is not compatible fully with the beta. Just a thought.

As a developer who has been testing SU-15 since the original rollout, I wouldnā€™t be surprised if it releases today. Itā€™s been fairly stable on my machine for the last week.

So we will see what happens I guess. Until we know more, I have my finger on the trigger for 8 aircraft updates lol

While it is just a guess and speculation, on the eve of the next big thing, one would think that they are beta testing some of the new technology now before going into the home stretch for that release later this year. There may be some tech they can test now before going over to the new platform and my guess is thatā€™s why they are beating SU15 to a pulp. That and of course itā€™s the last SU for 2020 till next year, that part we know for fact. But it stands to reason that now is a great opportunity to see if any new tech works at large before it can be unveiled formally/publicly. Again, just conjecture, but it would explain all the back to the drawing board moments, especially getting WASM right once and for all, native models as well as 3rd party content.

Everyone is saying that BETA is a mess. I donā€™t have high hopes itā€™ll be released today. But at the same time they should already said itā€¦

If the update was postponed they would have already informed us yesterday

They cannot release in a few hrs if they havenā€™t started their internal processes and release mechanisms to do so. One way or another, the decisions are already taken. The communication - as always - a failure.

Communication is FAR from failure. They have been extremely transparent. With that being said, no news is good news (I hope) and we just might get SU15 today.

Does anyone know historically, when do updates release for MSFS?

Normally 4pm UK time for sim updates so weā€™re getting close

10 minutes for the ā€œupdateā€, is that right?

May 7th was assumed based on the Livestream notes:

ā€œWhile we had previously revealed a tentative launch date of April 30, we now think an additional week of development time is necessary.ā€

but also from the same Livestream note:

ā€œā€¦so the team really wants to make sure SU_15 in an excellent state before we release it.ā€

The latest SU15 news Iā€™m aware of was provided in the release notes of the latest SU15 Beta 1.37.16.0

As we havenā€™t had ā€œā€¦the next beta build.ā€ yet and May 7th was assumed based on an initial tentative release date I would be very surprised if we see SU15 before next week.

4pm London time is like 8 mins from now

Sim Updates tend to release around 11-12 EST, Which is 5mins from now

Not everyone. It has been nothing but a joy for me personally. The upgrades to performance and then live traffic being much busier which is a welcome addition.

I run on DX11 given that 12 itself is a buggy beta mess. The people Iā€™ve seen complain the most are using 12 which we all know is a resource hog and does nothing but waste what it takes.

Interesting you say that, DX12 has been nothing more than pure joy on my end. Performance is stellar.

I must say it does seem to swing quite wildly one way or the other. Some like us have next to no issues whichever API we use, then others are plagued with problems. No doubt hardware being used can play a strong role in the potential outcomes.

For sure. It is a trip. It also shows why software development is a challenge.
