Next Beta?

Anyone have any idea when Beta 13 will begin?

It was stated in last week’s developer stream that the next update, which is currently being called Sim Update 13, is tentatively scheduled for August.
My takeaway from that is the key word “tentatively”.

Before that time, we should expect the AAU2 beta i guess?

Kinda sad that there are only two more world updates this year after Oceania. Still, let’s see what it and the City updates bring.

Man I’m so eagerly waiting for Asobo to finally bring us a WU of the Caribbean islands(Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, St. Thomas, St. Martin, etc). So many beautiful scenery and so many people that fly to the Caribbeans it’s hard to believe Asobo still have not done the Caribbean.

I’m kind of curious what they’ll make a focus of the next Sim Update, this one is so weather heavy, I hope the next focus more on humidity-related particle effects.

I can see why they’ve avoided this region, they’ve said a lot that they sometimes have to negotiate with each individual country’s governments to get certain accurate terrain data. I can’t imagine this being an easy experience with Cuba or the rest besides Puerto Rico

I want to see more optimisation around performance. I have a 34" widescreen, 3080TI, a 6ghz 13900KS, 64Gb of ram, 7500mb/s NVME drives and it still struggles. I’m sure they can optimise something to reduce the reliance on a single core allocating everything to the other cores. Traffic is an obvious one - should be multi-core.

Have the ATR’s shown up yet?

They show as pictures on the roadmap - are they live?

That explains why the Crimea is so poorly done.  A lot of the coastline’s terrain and detail is simply “wishful thinking”.

For a flight simulation it just needs to be plausible.

they are on the april tile (was easier to see on the stream).

If that were the case, I would have no complaints.

As far as I remember, the topography is correct but many details leave much to be desired.

For example, Beregrove on the south coast is a generic beach with 99% of the buildings and roads missing.

I suspect that the Crimea isn’t getting much love nowadays. . . .

When does the next series of updates start for AU2 and SU13?

Hello,
The answer is here:

I have a 55" 4K TV and HP G2 VR (I use both), 3080TI, stock 11700, and 64MB memory, and 2X 1TB NVME’s, and I think performance is awesome. My VR could perform slightly better (sometimes I get a tiny bit of microstutter when I look sideways, but, I’m going to put that on me for not optimizing something, I’m just using it straight up, with TAA). So it really depends on what your expectation of performance is before I can say anything else. Otherwise I’d say something’s wrong with your setup if it really is “struggling”.

Are you sure that AI traffic isn’t already multi-core? I suppose that could be done if I think about it, but, I don’t know all the concepts involved, so I would never jump to “Oh, they should do this”… Know that they are working on improving performance all the time.

There are people with a lot less capable machines than what you have who are perfectly happy with performance. But, again, you didn’t give us anything other than that your computer “struggles”, so, who knows? For all we know, you expect 120 FPS over NYC with FSTL and AIG loaded to max and everything ultra while flying at 450 knots. I realize that’s ridiculous, but, let us know what you’re issues are.

So according to the roadmap, we have only two SUs for 2023 is that correct ? SU 12 and SU 13 ?
