I’m having this same issue. I’ve tried Next/Previous view command on keyboard, Turtle Beach Flightdeck hat switches and mouse buttons. The controls map to the commands ok, but nothing happens. I rely on switching views for my normal cockpit flow and for me this is a huge issue!
I too have this problem. If I try to use the Next/Previous view command when in an instrument view (keyboard Shift+Num) and use the Next/Previous view, either by the keyboard or by the yoke hat, then I often get a cockpit quickview instead of an instrument view. I also noticed that if I’m in instrument view 1 (PFD) and use next instrument view, it displays the MFD for an instant then goes to the right side quick view. After that it is out of instrument view mode. One other thing I noticed was that if I’m on the PFD and use the previous instrument view command (keyboard or yoke hat), then it will cycle through all of the instrument views until it gets back to the PFD at which time it switches to cockpit view. It doesn’t seem to be tied to any particular aircraft, but the above observations were made in the CESSNA 172 G1000.
I noticed that the default FS2024 transversal bindings for next/previous instrument view have conflicts for the keyboard/controller (I am under ms-store).
Keyboard:
I have this same problem, and clearing the conflicts doesn’t seem to help. This was working (with the defaults) until SU3. It’s still broken in SU4.
It’s weird, because sometimes next/previous works, but most of the time it doesn’t. It also seems to vary between planes. The 737 is a good plane to test in. For me, most of the time the next/previous does nothing. In some cases, next will work once or twice, and then it will stop.
I had this problem until I noticed that when Next/Previous instrument view stops working, my mouse cursor is on a clickable switch or instrument. Anytime the mouse cursor shows anything else than the standard mouse arrow, the problem occurs. If I move the mouse cursor to the side of the monitor, Next/Previous command resumes working.
It might not be the same cause as yours, but it’s worth a check.
Although even if my mouse is on the side of the monitor, cycling through views causes it to pass over instruments and stop working at times. Is that happening for you too?
Yes, happens here too if the next view puts the cursor passes over an instrument. Knowing what the problem is, I just move the mouse a bit and I can resume scrolling through the instrument views. Strangely, the problem exists even if the mouse cursor is not displayed.
